| Posted By: Sara Posted On: May 27, 2008 Views: 435 | C&C I always wondered whether Tom Waits and Iggy Pop would actually get along so UN-famously in real life. That segment of Coffee & Cigarettes is one of the most interesting, at least for fans of both men and their oeuvres, because it seems like it could happen like that, that they'd end up not really getting along, despite all their seeming similarities ... but, seriously. Who wouldn't be crushed if they met and hated each other? A little piece of my dirty soul would die. P.S. I voted for Dr. Heller. Mystery Men: the most underrated comedy of the '90s? |

| Posted By: www.shaunhkellyphoto.com Posted On: May 26, 2008 Views: 236 | Tom Waits as Tom Waits I loved Tom Waits' portrayal of Tom Waits. I don't know how accurate it was because, well I've never met, nor do I know much about the real life Tom Waits. But if anybody could portray the real Tom Waits it would have to be Steve Buscemi. He's a great actor and I bet he'd look good in a fedora. But Steve Buscemi was in that other scene with the twins and he looked great in an apron. So it wouldn't have made much sense for him to be in both scenes. Although Cate Blanchett played two roles. In the same scene too! But she is a great actor and she looked good in leather. So I guess Jim Jarmusch got the real life Tom Waits to keep things clear. So I guess if Tom Waits and Iggy Pop had coffee it would happen exactly like that scene. Minus the camera crew and all that equipment. And I bet the RZA would be there. |
