GSH (harmony) has a heck of alot of GS:TLA content, I worked along time to get that stuff, it is not always all that fancy art they have on a site, it is the content. do you want a very easy navigation and wonderful layout and beutiful ictures on a site and no content? If so, it wouldn't call it a site at all. |

Heh, quite frankly, I think that very easy navigation, wonderful layout and beautiful pictures are just as important as the content. It is like the Yin-Yang, one is not complete without the other. A nice layout makes the content readable, well presented and well organised. Without a nice layout, content is sloppy and hard to read. And not many peoples want to force themselves to read crappy looking content. The layout also gets the visitors attention. If the layout doesn't look good, peoples just leave and never even give the content a chance. It isn't fair, but it's reality. Don't get me wrong though. Content is very important as well. It is what makes a site worth checking out. Without it, a site is nothing more than a hollow shell. But like I said before, it's just important as the layout. That's my input in all of this. -Later |

I think by the very nature of this type of poll the site with the least ammount of votes is not necesarily the one that will win. The reason is that until a site is in danger its webmaster will not have the urgency to get people to vote. In the early rounds you will see some of the more popular sites apparently losing to less popular sites because the more popular a site is the more people who might not like that site for some reason or another. If that previous paragraph was a little confusing, the overall message was to not think that a site like Venus Lighthouse will lose because they have more votes in the first few rounds. Although it still is possible for "large" sites to get voted out early *cough*my site last year*cough*. |

They go together and strongly connected to each other. A successful site should develop both. Even Yahoo has to design a nice and easy nevigate layout. Rich content without a good and attactive layout will just look like a textbook. Even today the textbooks become colorful and creative. It's better to describe it as a document. Amazing layout without good content...well, why don't just become a web/graphic designer. why bother become a webmaster. (no offense on this) hope this opinion satisfies with everyone. |
