Posted By: Rox Posted On: Oct 11, 2004 Views: 930 | Your tattoo designs Medieval shield with Celtic cross on the front of it, single Claymore behind it, hilt at the top, blade at the bottom. I'd get it between my shoulder blades, don't know if i'll get it or not |

Posted By: Syrgot Posted On: Oct 12, 2004 Views: 878 | RE: Your tattoo designs You know what I don't understand about the Japan craze of America. Are there little Japaneese girls running around in Tokyo pretending that they're American...and making up bull**** family trees PRETENDING that they were somehow related to George Washington... or going out and taking American as their foregin language in school so they can get more 'in touch,' with their 'Japaneese soul?' I don't think so. That goes just the same with tatoos. People think it's so deep to have stuff like "Luck," or "Fortune" written in Japaneese as a tatoo....but do you see Japeneese people with random, obligitory American words written on their skin? NO! I don't understand it. And forgive me for stereotyping the Japanamation kids out there, but all of those are real examples from kids i've come in contact with, I didnt make any of that up. EXPLAIN THIS TO ME! |
Posted By: Rox Posted On: Oct 13, 2004 Views: 870 | RE: Your tattoo designs I think people just like being asked "what does it mean?" some shady tattoo artist should start writing "cock sucker" on the guys and "herpes infected" on the girls. so they can be like "this means strenth and honor" or "it says i'm a beautiful flower" and then some japanese people would see them and laugh their asses off |
Posted By: Dr. Zhivago Posted On: Oct 13, 2004 Views: 866 | RE: Your tattoo designs I have a Sanskrit band around my right forearm and I also have those 'wind-guys' I call them...from old maps, the old guy and his wind-blowing bretheren in the top corners of the map...they're blowing down from my left shoulder blade...eventually I want to get the rest of the map on my back. It's a really old map so it will definitely look like crap if the guys at the tattoo can handle that one. |

Posted By: Syrgot Posted On: Oct 15, 2004 Views: 839 | RE: Your tattoo designs Why the Lithuanian word? |
Posted By: Aurora Posted On: Oct 16, 2004 Views: 831 | RE: Your tattoo designs I'm half Lithuanian. |
Posted By: stella Posted On: Oct 17, 2004 Views: 826 | RE: Your tattoo designs The whole Japan craze stuff also applies to Celtic kids... tho I have to admit I've fallen for the trend meself. When I was 18 I got a Celtic Trinity knot tatooed on my belly (a spot that only an 18-year-old would think of getting inked as that is the only age you are convinced you will never get fat/have babies). I mean, it still looks pretty damn cool, but I've since moved to a neighborhood with a lot of FOB Irish people and those who've seen it made fun of it. There's a word for the phenomenon... "Plastic Paddies." Americans who have a romanticized view of an "old world" heritage that may or may not exist. That being said... the design is still wicked cool. |
