I read about it on an online forum

I was searching plastic models, when I read about paper modeling. I found the french community on http://www.maquettes-papier.net/ and I started to build and never stop.

I like to make plastic model kits too from to time!

But where I live, most plastic kits are either from planes, cars or boats, and with papercraft, the possibilities are literally endless because paper is so easy to work with, so you can even make your own very easily! ;o)

I chose "A friend told me about it".

About 2.5 years ago a friend of mine showed me his work of the statue of liberty from canon-crafts.

I then googled myself because i was interested. I found a lot of stuff and my first papercraft was howls moving castle (free edition) then :)

I'm totally agree with you ninjatoes. Plastic models are for:
- army fans
- or cars fans :).

With paper, with excellent model maker like you, we can build virtually all what we can find in our imagination.

Haha yes, before I got into papercraft more seriously, it didn't even occur to me to visit printer manufacturer's websites except maybe for updated printer drivers, but it's actually very obvious that they might have a papercraft section of course! ;o)
