Posted By: Mila Posted On: May 8, 2005 Views: 710 | Swede Guy: It doesn't really matter where they come from. One of Feminnem's members was born in Croatia, there was such a fuss over it that she had to formally accept Bosnian citizenship. The other two members are both Bosnian Croats, one of whom has lived in Croatia for years - it doesn't matter, they're still a part of this country wherever they go. And Croatia's entry, Boris, was born and raised in Sarajevo - the capital of Bosnia. It's normal for countries to send artists that have associations with other nations - not something really worth worrying about. |
Posted By: roula Posted On: May 8, 2005 Views: 725 | Hey! Swede Guy I must tell you that you are not well informated. Helena, our Greek singer, was born on Sweeden, but it's 100% Greek!!! Te writter of the song & the musician are Greeks, so I really do not understand how this make our participation Swedish! The only thing I can imagine is that you, obviously, jealous our entry. It's not bad. But it's not fair to pass false info. Good luck to everyone. Eurovision it's a party full of music. Ellines olou tou kosmou enothite. Filia se olous. |

Posted By: Mila Posted On: May 7, 2005 Views: 663 | A sneak peek... This is what Europe will see when the winner of Eurovision 2005 is announced...hehehe: http://img51.echo.cx/img51/3489/10000456hq.jpg Go girls! :D I like this...I think I'm the only one in Europe imagining a Bosnia/Greece showdown for the top spot...hahaha...a girl has to have dreams. ;) |
Posted By: Mila Posted On: May 7, 2005 Views: 675 | Greece, versus the other entries... The Greek song seems to be very popular, and it is obviously very good. It doesn't suit my tastes, but that means little - I don't like R&B. My only hope is that voters will find it "too good", if that makes sense. She is a nice singer, and very beautiful - she doesn't need Eurovision. It's a normal, pop song; it isn't something that will be horribly embarrassing in 5 years, which seems to be a staple of winning Eurovision entries. So I hope my beloved Bosnia, by some twist of fate, manages to take the title - hehehe. ;) Mostly because I'm Bosnian, but a little because it's only been a few weeks and I find the song irritating already. Beyond that, I am angry that Balkan nations have once again decided, en masse, to sing in English. Call me sounded much better in Bosnian...Zovi! Kad na srcu rana boli! Ja sam ona sto te voli!... And the Albanian song? It was...strong, pretty...in Albanian, but in English it's just a mess. It sounds as though the singer, and every musician, is playing a different song. We should sing in our own languages - even for technical reasons. Compare the Bosnian and English versions of Zovi/Call Me. The girls are so confident in their own language and their voices are stronger, better; in English they mispronounce and mumble. Thank God Tinka Milinovic didn't win our national final. If I had to sit and hear her sing "Sumtaime I veesh I vur'da child aggin!" I'd die... Anyhow...good luck to everyone! I hope you all have many laughs and a great time this year! |
