Posted By: Bren Posted On: Apr 3, 2005 Views: 2075 | Finland To be honest I thought the standard of entries from Finland in the past have been generally poor, this year I think is their best entry that i can remember - but as the standard of songs have increased I think it will be difficult for this song to progress to the final - but look on the bright side I think the Irish are going the same way. The challenge is to raise the standard of entry and preformance and not huff and walk away (no offence to Italy intended). |
Posted By: Euro_Laulu Posted On: Apr 3, 2005 Views: 1810 | ..about Finland (once again) I suppose Finland has been the most ill fated country ever. There have been occasions where the Finnish entry surely has all possible potetialities to win the contest--but it never actually happened (not even close). And I'm quite sure all Finnish viewers have to be AGAIN dissapointed this year.Enough is enough!!! I think Finland should quit participating this programme after all like Italy & Luxembourg (its better to quit, than to be relegated every year).I really cant bear this humiliation anymore. |
Posted By: Panos_SnipeR Posted On: Apr 2, 2005 Views: 1778 | Greek Rules I can't see why there are arguments. The Greek song is perfect! Nothing makes you dance like this one. Just listen to it loudly in your home and you'll see what I mean. It's the best entry for Greece ever in my opinion. To be honest I haven't listened to any of the other countries' songs (except for cyprus and spain, which I found bad and barely good respectively) so I'm not judging in comparison with the other eurovision songs. My number one is stand-alone perfect |
Posted By: Bren Posted On: Apr 2, 2005 Views: 1143 | The Good the bad and the Ugly Once again eurovision has it all - the quality of songs are much better than previous years and I have no doubt the stage preformances will match it on the nights. The bad yea there are a few an even down to personal tastes it would be hard to see a few songs register if it wasnt for the UGLY ie the political televoting. Im anti televoting the results become predicable and based on political judgements rather than the song. At worse it should be a mix of televote and expert panel, maybe then the ugly may not be as obivious (ok there will always be cyprus and greece) As for a winner - likely to be a dark horse (watch our for Hungary or Rominia) |
Posted By: Kel Posted On: Apr 1, 2005 Views: 1491 | Turkey I really like TURKEY this year, the new performance is 100% much better. I think it will do well more likely to be in the top 5 My predictions are: 1. Turkey 2. Albania 3. UK 4. Greece 5. Cyprus Does any one else like Turkey this year? |
Posted By: Ber D Posted On: Mar 31, 2005 Views: 1333 | re Ireland Having listened to a lot of the semi-final songs again,I'm doubtful about Ireland's chances of making the final..even with the advantage of a late draw. There are just too many stronger songs .... |
Posted By: Ber D Posted On: Mar 31, 2005 Views: 1328 | re Slovenia This is absolutely my favourite song in the semi-final...If Omar's performance in the video clip is anything to go by,he shouldn't have too much trouble making the final...That's as long as people are still watching by the time we get to song 23!!! |
Posted By: João Velada Posted On: Mar 31, 2005 Views: 1010 | My Top 10 of ESC 2005 01 - Greece 02 - Netherlands 03 - Monaco 04 - Portugal 05 - Israel 06 - Ireland 07 - Estonia 08 - Finland 09 - Malta 10 - Bosnia Herzegovina |
Posted By: Kevin Posted On: Mar 31, 2005 Views: 936 | Eurovision Here are Kevin's televoting: 1 point..........Spain 2 points.........Polonia 3 points.........Malta 4 points.........Cyprus 5 points.........Andorra 6 points.........Sweden 7 points.........Netherlands 8 points.........Estonia 10 points........Greece 12 points........Israel I prefer Israel because it have an exelent balad, is a very beautiful song and shini maimon ( the singer ) is very sensitive and beautiful. |
Posted By: nik Posted On: Mar 31, 2005 Views: 933 | Cyprus OLE! I think the Cypriot song is very catchy and leaves a very good impression the first time you hear it. A good, memorable performance on the evening can do the trick... |
Posted By: João Posted On: Mar 31, 2005 Views: 834 | Go Portugal!!!! I think Iceland has a very strong chance of wining this year. The Irish song is not that bad but it wont make it to topo ten cause theres a lot of good songs this year. I like my song (Portugal) very much and it has a chance of getting in the final. DON'T YOU THINK?????? |
Posted By: Joaquin Posted On: Mar 31, 2005 Views: 781 | Voting Here are the results of Joaquin's televote. Sweden..........................1 point Denmark.........................2 points Croatia.........................3 points Ireland.........................4 points United Kingdom..................5 points Hungary.........................6 points Norway..........................7 points Bosnia Herzegovina..............8 points Greece.........................10 points And the twelve points from my televote go to.... CYPRUS!!!!!!!!!! |
Posted By: Joaquin Posted On: Mar 31, 2005 Views: 769 | Songs I think that Cyprus is going to do better than what we think the song is perfect for instance to dance at the disco. I also like Greece, Norway and Hungary. But I also think this is not gonna be the year I'll se my country (Spain) winning the festival, I think this is the worst song we've sent in the last 5 years. |
