They are both very successful for different reasons, and sometimes for the same reasons. People say Britney is a slut, but Christina is just as bad (Dirrty video). People say Christina writes better songs, but Britney wrote Everytime which went no1 in many countries, as well as writing Someday (I Will Understand) and helping out with Me Against The Music, I've Just Begun (Having My Fun) and most of her last album (In The Zone). People say Christina has won more Grammy's, but Britney still has one Grammy and has more awards in general then Christina will ever have. People say Britney's fame has all came out of luck, but she has worked just as hard as Christina to get what she has, probably harder. She is still being followed around by paparazzi even when she hasn't been working for months. People say at least Christina can sing/she has a better voice than Britney etc, but I have seen Christina lipsync/mime to Dirrty before and Britney does sing sometimes, and when she does its great, but lets face it, Britney fans don't really care if she sings live or not, they go for the performance (yes dancing etc). Don't take this as defending Britney, I love Christina, Dirrty is one of the best dance songs ever, but Slave 4 U is just as good in my opinion. I love them both because when Britney dosn't have anything out you can almost garantee Christina will. Both artists are getting better as time goes by, but I think Britney deffinetly has a bigger fan base, she has sold over 65mil albums after all and has a Greatest Hits. I look forward to Christina's new album and Britney's in 2006. I hope they both continue to make great music and stay in the spotlight. What would the world be like with out Britney and Christina? Wouldn't it be great if they did a duet together, hey they already both kissed Madonna. |
