What's so sacrosant about public employee's? Delphi is closing and people are losing jobs; Mt. View is under consideration; The Mayor and entire city council of Lockport can't try new ways to save money? i can't for the life of me imagine that the mayor and city council in lockport are abandoning kids or youth programs. this is job protectionism practiced by every public employee ever considered for downsizing. the world will end. we can't possibly survive with one more public employee layoff. kudos to the mayor and council for trying something, anything, to revive an upstate NY small city. i regret i can't vote in the poll because the questions as posed are preposterous.

And don't gmmie that crap about 'They have nothing to do here.' When I was a kid we invented things to do, or my parents would FIND things for us to do. Reading always beats housework. It's October, I'd be building Halloween decorations right now.
