HD Debate

I understand Rob's reservation about the HDD real estate demands of 20 min. High Def files. Perhaps one solution would be to feature two of the four clip series for a given model in both HD and alternate formats, rather than the entire set. Example, provide an HD option for the masturbation and girl on girl scenes, but not for the 'strolling around town' scenes.

Feedback

Well in summary... it looks like at least 1/2 of voters are cool with the new HD option. I personally thing 2000kb/sec is sufficient, but there are a few sites out there touting HD nowadays, and FTV tends to be ahead of the game when it comes to video. Of course, those sites running HD video only have 5-10 minute updates, so there is a logistics difference.

I will most likely move to HD in 2007, but will keep the 2000kb/sec and divx options as well... so there will be 3 choices.

HD Video

I'm sure that the HD Video would be a great way to promote these beautiful women...but is it terribly necessary? I see the 2000k vids are crystal clear...maybe I just need to see a HD video before I can judge the difference. As long as there are multiple download options, I would agree to it. Some poor blokes are still using modems out there, after all. "Yes! I got my first clip after a week!" At the very least, keep the small DivX. And...perhaps zips of all the scense of particular models? There are zips of the pics but not of the vids...that would be a real blessing. Thank you for maintaining a great site!

HD

Just FYI as the last guy was talking about speeds. I am on a 10Mbit conx, running a Mac G5 with two 23" HD Cine screens..... still don't think it's necessary, but hey.. looks like I am in the minority here.

Sounds great

I'm all for HD video, even though my current 1 Mbit connection really isn't geared for it (hoping to move to at least 4 Mbit next year).

Just got a nifty 19" widescreen monitor as well, so I'll be happy to take advantage of that format :).

If you do move to HD I suggest (as someone else did above) that you offer it is a third option in addition to the current two.
The current 640x480, 2000 kbit version will probably remain the best for 1-2 Mbit connections (and the DivX versions for the even slower ones).

Hi-Res

Even with a cable connection, why would higher than the 2000k be necessary. Even now the download speeds are slower than they should be and my cable conx is pretty damn fast (not like a 2000k file loads in 30 secs... it definitely takes some time). I would be against higher/HD files... just no logical reason for it.

ROB..... WOW MAN.... how did you score Jamie? thought with her being P.O.Y. you couldn't shoot with her until January or whatnot...... Well done!

Sweden

I had to comment again, for people who live next door to the FTV studio can have the speed. But what about he speed from FTV. Here in Sweden the download speed from FTV is around the half then it´s from other sites, keep a choice for smaller files. 2000 is the limit.

file sizes

I want High Definition, but I also like file sizes to be less then 100mb. The best site lets the viewer choose the size of the file.

HD video

Sure HD video would be good, but still keep the small low quality DivX files for the people who lack space, speed and processing power.

I used to have a very fast broadband speed, but having moved house to house with a slow phone connection broadband instead of my previous cable one, the bigger files would just take too much time to download. The big files now already take long enough. I get a speed of barely 130kbps :(

Keep 2000kb/s at least as a choice. Now the girls is around 1.2 - 1.8 Gb. With 5000k/s I guess it will be 3.5 - 4 Gb.

move to high definition

if you move to high def the low quality video option should be the 2000kb/s wmv video instead of divx and the high quality video option should be the new high def format
