Why go all out on a comment on rigging directly on the results page of the vote ?? if u had any issues with anyone , you could have gone directly and emailed them privately . Yet you have gone and posted a comment not only in this page , but also in the bloggers comments sections regarding this , that too multiple times . I thought the whole purpose of these awards was to encourage people to blog and bring out the best contributors to blogging Are your comments on multiple pages supposed to encourage blogging or the blogger You have stated that you dont have a fool proof way to conduct votes . well i would suggest you either get a sponsor for the paid software , write software (free software foundation ) on your own , or just simply let the bloggers be and conduct a poll when you have all the right tools . Coming up with accusations of fans of bloggers rigging and stuff , isnt gonna help anybody . Having such comments on the pages of the bloggers is just a black mark . If you have the specific IP address of the machine , why dont you just delete the extra votes casted from it ? If you need more technical help contact on of the PC mags in india . Am sure they have the expertise and financial backing to help you out . I hope you take neccessary steps to make the voting fairer and be more considerate towards the bloggers nominated |
| Posted By: Indiblog administrator Posted On: Jan 19, 2005 Views: 951 | Rigging the vote Ramya Kannan Though we don't have IP blocking enabled on the polls at the Indibloggies, we do get IP reports, and it is obvious that some cheating is being done on your behalf, as large amounts of multiple votes are coming from the same IP, and I think we both know how you're managing that. (This is not the case with the other two people with more than 100 votes.) Perhaps some misguided wellwisher was doing this behind your back. Now that you're aware of it, I hope you'll get it stopped. I'm sure a win in this manner would be hollow for you. |
