| Posted By: stomps Posted On: Jan 9, 2007 Views: 1795 | the smart $ is on Brodeur clearly, it is going to be Brodeur with the most. for fantasy managers, a more prescient poll would have to be this one: At the end of the season, which site do you predict will win the prediction war? A. hockeyinformer B. goaliepost C. darth vader's psychic hotline |
| Posted By: The Funky FRO Posted On: Jan 9, 2007 Views: 1622 | And yes I know and yes I know the Devils are in first...called me fooked, Im not a Jersey hater but there's always one team that tanks it, and with their lack of D...I dunno. Anyways, cheers all. Fro |
| Posted By: The Funky FRO Posted On: Jan 9, 2007 Views: 878 | I think Kipper or Luongo Bob now is bang on when he said that Kipper, Brodeur & Luongo don't get pulled in back to backs...Khabi could be in there for the Hawks, but he's already missed too many games to catch up...Turco could be in there, but his backup ain't bad. Miller could be in there but he's missed a few and Biron ain't bad either (although even Eddie Belfour playin on a crap team has better stats then him lol). Even Raycroft for the Leafs could be in the category as he was for a good time leadin the league in Saves for awhile...problem is, the Leafs are kinda tankin it. He'll still make it somewhat close (maybe). I have this feeling for some reason that the Devils are gonna miss the playoffs opening up sometime for younger guys, not sure that Clemmensen is the choice but meh... Im not a Thomas fan, but I was smart enough to grab him when I saw the Goaltending starting relationship was rockier then Trump/O Donnells relationship, but JT's also bang on when he said that Toivonen goes to providence to get playing time, and that's been goin on all year. The dude can leave on a Saturday, play 2 games down there, and come back Monday!!! It's funked. Anyways, this polls about starts and now who'se the best, or the Dominator could probably be stuck in there. Alright Im endin this now, I dont normally do this whole polls thing, but I like this site, and I like this discussion and I've wrote a freggin book!!!! FRO PS - Did we miss Kolzig in Washington though? No matter how bad they suck, Ollie the Goalie seems to keep starting...sorta like Luongo while he was in Florida! |
| Posted By: TDR Posted On: Jan 8, 2007 Views: 1083 | Goalies Ya Toivonen is back in the AHL FYI |
| Posted By: JT Posted On: Jan 7, 2007 Views: 1104 | Thomas!?!?!? Clearly you have no idea what you are talking about. Toivonen just got called up. This has been going on all year. They only go down to the minors so they get some playing time. Luongo has played 40/42 games so far. He is on pace to play 80 (very likely). If Thomas plays every game for the rest of the season (very unlikely) he still will only have 73 games as he has played 33/42 games thus far. |
| Posted By: Colin Posted On: Jan 6, 2007 Views: 1268 | Goalies I think Brodeur or Luongo will end up with the most starts over the season. Miller won't because he was injured a while back and Biron had a bunch of starts. Kipper should be close also. |
| Posted By: TDR Posted On: Jan 5, 2007 Views: 1248 | Goalies Tim Thomas will start the most games!! he doesnt even have a backup anymore Hannu Toivonen was sent down to the minors on tuesday pretty much Guaranteeing Timmy T is going to start 99% of the remaining games this year..... |
| Posted By: bob now... Posted On: Jan 5, 2007 Views: 1262 | goalies. from here to the end of the season, there's a few... brodeur, luongo & Kipper don't generally get pulled in back to back situations, so it'd likely be one of them. if chicago wants to make the playoffs, khabby shouldn't leave the crease either..... |
| Posted By: Anthony Posted On: Jan 3, 2007 Views: 1352 | Goalies Gotta be Brodeur or Luongo, so far I think they've played all but one or two games. One guy that should be on this list is Ryan Miller, who's played all but 4 or 5 games and more than all but 3 or 4 guys on the list. |
| Posted By: Justin Posted On: Dec 31, 2006 Views: 1565 | Brodeur Will definitely be Marty Brodeur...he's already off to a great start that mill most likely result in another Vezina trophy...Clemmenson is not very good and the Devils chances of winning when he's in net are pretty bad |
| Posted By: ryan Posted On: Dec 30, 2006 Views: 1659 | goalie it will definitly be close between brodeur, kipper, luongo. as for turco his backups actually play unlike the 3 above. and if bryzgalov never gets healthy then giggy can be put in that group as well. |
| Posted By: James Posted On: Dec 28, 2006 Views: 1699 | Goalie Starts Its going to be Turco, right now Modano, Morrow, Lindros and Ott are all out so you gotta put your top goalie in net almost every night to make it out alive. Morrow has severed tendons in his wrist after being stepped on with a skate so he is gone for a VERY long time. |
