Clearchannel

for those who don't know, clearchannel media owns a ton of radio stations around the country. these are the stations that play the same list of 40 songs over and over again with the mentality that if they can control what you hear, they can control what you buy. they, along with MTV are to blame for B.Spears, Xtina, mariah carey, 50 cent, lil' john, n'sync and all those other crap "musicians" that are constantly being crammed down the throats of the cd buying public.

support independant radio!

RE: Clearchannel

They also give away a lot of free stuff!

In the last six months, Clear Channel Radio has given me $25.00 in gift certificates to Zios, two movie passes, two really nice concert tickets to see Kanye West, two tickets for admission to an amusement park/concert/meet and greet with Bowling for Soup, and two tickets to see an NBA basketball game - the Hornets.

...but I do understand what you are saying...

RE: Clearchannel

I agree that Clearchannel should go to hell. They have ruined radio. The free stuff does not make up for it...

It makes me wonder if they are in cahoots with Apple. A lot of people I know (including me) have gone with iPod because of the crap that's on the radio anymore. Hmmmm...

ipods are exactly the same...just alot of hype made them popular...you can get better players for cheaper and with more space

RE: Clearchannel

I tried the cheaper ones. They don't work nearly as well. They are not very user friendly and they burn through batteries like crazy. Plus, it was only $50 more for the iPod which had 3 GB more space. The iPods also have a lot more accessories, like the FM trasmitter where I can play it in the car.

RE: Clearchannel

smart lady, i bought a creative zen micro a year ago for around $200. this was cheaper than the competing ipod mini. the zen also has a built in fm radio, longer battery life, better sound quality, support for more file formats, an extra gig of storage, a very simple user interface, and is smaller overall than the ipod mini.

Oh well...you know as soon as you buy something electronic that something better will trump it like the next week.

My boyfriend bought me the iPOD as a gift and I love it, so whatever... :)
