The price to heat one's home goes up. The price of everything in general goes up because of shipping costs, as James points out: almost everything is still shipped via truck. Even bus tickets have nearly doubled in price becuase, guess why...the run on gasoline! Also, it's easy to just tell people who drive large cars to just buy a new one, but that's kinda expensive, too. As much as it's the realization of what they deserved, saying "just buy a new $25,000 car that gets better gas mileage" is hardly the solution to anyone's problems. |
