Catherine McPhee is a really nice gal only if you see through the strategy going on you will see that the point of the show is lost if she wins. Last year they had a female winner - so this year they have to have a male winner or the entire show will not make it. So that is why they are making her lose by manipulating her to sing stuff too low for her voice and that strategy is working to have her lose.
