After all, this nation was founded and populated with immigrants. I do however have a BIG problem with anyone who illegally crosses our borders and lives here without going through the proper procedure to enter this country. Many people come here and take our jobs and our money. The majority come and have children here that are American citizens at birth, put them on Medicaid, and the American people have to support them. The Ntl. Guard and the Border Patrol should patrol our borders vigilantly to prevent illegal immigration, and also work to remove those that are already here illegally. It is time to take a stand!!!

They should be protecting our border! That is their job. Part of the reason we have a National Guard. I don't know if it will do any good or not. But as to the question...yes if we are going to send anyone to patrol the border, the guard is the way to go.

When the national guard was founded was it not founded on the basis to serve and protect America for "ALL ENEMIES BOTH FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC" because that sure sounds a lot like the oath I took. As far as the whole issue of "Illegal Immigrants" is concerned people need to realize we aren't saying mexicans can not come to America we are simply saying IF YOU WANT TO COME DO IT LEGALLY! If not, I definately would volunteer to go stand guard to protect what we and our family members before us have honestly and legally worked for.
