We implemented the system because recently there has been a malicious user trying to flood some of our WebPoll product by posting spam entries to the comment section every seconds which tied up our server and caused it to colapse. Since we cannot limit the access to the comment section (no login), the only way we can prevent this from happening again is by limiting the access of computer script to all of the comment section. It is a commont method used by most websites nowadays which I am sure your voters will understand. Cheers, Sparklit Support |
