confession

Around a month ago I had broken up with my fiancee. I have since then gotten back into using MDMA (ecstasy). A long time ago I had gotten out of this habbit, but recently I have reacquired it since I am now hanging out with all of my old buddies that I could never visit before because of that certain side of me that they have a tendency to bring out. But now I have gotten back into the rave scene where I am comfortable, and I just don't really know what to do...

Has anybody else out there been through anything like this as well?

RE: confession

Came out of the closet? Firstly, screw you. Secondly, how does going back to using E have anything to do with homosexuals?

RE: confession

I've never done E although my paramedic friends say it's pretty harmless as long as you stay hydrated.
I've read that you quickly develope tolerance to MDMA and it can ruin the pleasure centers of your brain after prolonged use. Is that what you're worried about?
My jobs have always required drug testing so I pretty much don't do anything except drink. Drinking had caused me a few problems when I was younger and it took a while to learn to do it responsibly.
Good luck, whatever you decide to do.

RE: confession

it depends on the person and what they are doing to decide on how much water to drink. Since MDMA is a methamphetamine it causes your cells to use up more water, I can go the whole night on 4 pills without a single drop of water during that time, if I am dancing however, I will have to drink up more water since my body temperature rises and my cells utilize more water.

MDMA does not "ruin the pleasure centers of your brain", if used in excess too often it will dull down your nerves for a period of time depending on the individual.

Also MDMA will only appear in a urine analysis within 2 days of ingestion so it is one of the safest drugs on **** tests since it will only show up as a methamphetimine. Even more so on the plus side since I have ADD I take a medication called concerta that is amphetimine based so I have something to explain why I have amphetimines in my body if the occasion should ever happen that I have to take a **** test within 2 days of usage.

And lastly what I am trying to get out of this post is not that I am worried about using E, I am trying to get a good look at others moral views on this matter since I cannot always trust my own views and this is really a subject that should have more of a group mentallity so that way when I do continue to use I will know more on where to draw the line so I don't take it too far again since that always seems to be my problem.

RE: confession

As far as using the drug in general, I really don't see anything wrong with it. I don't think the government should be in the business of telling people what they can and cannot put into their bodies. They do, however, and it is illegal so don't get busted.
I think it's also important to be on the same page, so to speak, as everyone else you're going to be around. I'm sure you know a pot head or two that will show up at any social function high as a kite. Nobody appreciates that. Same goes for drunks.
If you're going to a rave or hanging out with other people that enjoy E, by all means, do it. Just don't show up at a fancy restaraunt afterwards and make a fool of yourself by professing your undieing love for your waitress.

I have seen lives ruined by alcohol, cocaine, Ice, heroin, and crack. I've yet to see anybody ruin their lives with MDMA or pot. Seems pretty benign to me.

RE: confession

wow observant, your views are very open about this! They have also made me laugh at the idea of showing up to social events besides raves and house parties rolling my ass off LOL!!! My pupils get so huge that you would have to be blind to notice it. As far as that whole sex thing goes, E does not make you want to screw everything that walks, it does increase sensation during sex, but it will not make you want to dry hump the nearby waitress.

You are right though!! It seems as though people that do all of that other stuff think they can just do it anywhere and everywhere. It's just like people (*cough* vanessa) who think they can force their ways of life upon others.

I would recommend to everyone who is interested in trying E to be safe and to not do it too often, once is enough for many that do a one timer with their friends for the experience. Also make sure that you do bring a pacifier or gum because you don't want to grind your teeth!

(I am not recommending anyone to do E, just giving pointers and safety tips) =9

RE: confession

E works by telling your brain to dump large quantities of serotonin into your synapses giving you the high. The danger from that is after the high is over your body has a shortage of serotonin and depression can set in. Over a long period of use you can develop an imbalance with your serotonin levels which could leave you emotionally dull or depressed. Also, as stated, water needs to be carefully regulated while on E.

RE: confession

YOU ARE CORRECT SIR!! (to an extent)

The fact here that alot of people will miss as far as serotonin levels go, is that not all pills are clean which is the biggest problem nowadays with E. Many of todays drugs play off of serotonin levels, but they also have many more dramatic effects that are much worse than E. But yes, prolonged and heavy use of E can result in an imbalance of serotonin which is where responsibility comes into play.

RE: confession

I did drugs in college... lsd, shrooms, pot, hippy crack (nitrous)... I think all that stuff messes with your mood regulation and makes life harder later on. My advice is experiment but don't do that stuff on a regular basis. I think even coffee and alcohol fucks with your head to a lesser degree.

RE: confession

I wish the US would be more truthful about the dangers of different drugs.
If you look up the effects and risks, the literature tells you that every drug out there is a sadistic killer or, if you read the pro literature, they are perfectly fine!
I think most people who have been around drugs would agree that heroin, crack, and crystal meth are the three most dangerous. Poeple who abuse those end up living for the drug.
Regular cocaine and alcohol can destroy lives but aren't as addictive.
If you ruin your life with pot, well, you must not have had a life to begin with.

Is there a big temptation to move from MDMA to crystal? They are similar. (like morphine, codeine, and heroin)

RE: confession

NO!!! There is no gateway between MDMA and chrystal meth unless you are someone that is trying to experiment around with many different things. I am no expert on opiates, but from my understanding about them it seems as though people will have some form of opiate, and afterwards they will keep looking for the greater form of that. Like people that have recieved morphine in the hospital will sometimes look to get that rush again.

Also, I very much appreciate everyones openness about this subject, it has given me many different points of prespective and I hope that it has bennefitted everyone else who has read it too!

I say, don't do any drugs, ever. You don't want to end up with a big hole in your brain like me.
