inner beauty

There's nothing wrong with surgically enhanced beauty (I guess that's the trend these days) but should not be abused to use it to win a competition! it is unfair not only to other competitors (with natural beauty) but as well as to the people of the universe believing that we have a title holder admired for her beautiful attributes and yet all these aspects are already done up!

Beauty is immeasurable, but it does reflect outwardly when you have a beautiful personality within.

Nothing is wrong with trying to fix something.

Advocating "natural" beauty is idyllic. None of these girls can be deemed completely natural: all of them has opted for help in somw way: they dye their hair, wax their bodies, fix their teeth, add hair extensions...

There is nothing wrong with wanting to look better, a little touch-up has never harmed anyone. Restrictive rules will not stop these girls from altering their bodies, it will only make them switch to other treatments.

Beauty should be natural

A beautiful woman should be judged as she is - not because plastic surgery has made her beautiful. What is the real purpose of plastic surgery? It is to enhance something which is not there in the first place. So I believe that a beautiful woman is someone whose beauty has not been enhanced by science.

Plastic surgery

In fact, I think the pageants should allow work like nose jobs, but not breast implants, although it is difficult to prove anyone has had their boobs done without touching them or doing ultrasound. It is impossible to prove whether anyone had a nose job. Therefore, the judges would have to rely on honor systems. That would be difficult, since not everyone is honest. Therefore, the best suggestion, in my opinion, is to instruct judges not to vote someone who appears to have plastic surgery into the finals. On the Miss France topic, she is a sore loser, as it is obvious that the doctors can only do so much and there is nothing they can do for her.

YES AND NO

Yes to some extent pageants should allow beauties who had gone minor surgeries (like removal of an ugly scar or mole or liposuction), but they should not allow girls who had breast enlargements or collagen implants on their lips. Why does everyone try to look like Pamela Anderson or Angelina Jolie? Just be yourself!

"Vive la France"

(sorry for my bad english)
GeneviĆØve de Fontenay, her husband create this Organization in 1954.
She's the President of the Miss France Organization since 1981.
52 years of Misses...
So, I think she's well knowing in pageants.

Artificial Beauty

Vive le France!!! I find it terrifying that if the real Miss France was absent from the Miss Universe pageant, that an 'artificial' substitute would be created. It's happened before, the Miss "Free Cuba's" of the 1960's and a Mexican representative in 1955 chosen in LA!!!

I LOVE GENEVIEVE!

Her comments are so blatantly true that it is refreshing to finally hear someone drop the candy-coated responses and tell it like it is! I really hope someone can tape and translate her comments during Miss Universe! I'll pay $$$!!!!
