It just allowed people to publicly reveal their lack of skills! Think about it. We don't really know what the state of grammar was before technology because no one was posting their misspellings to Craig's List. Arguably, people have better grammar now because they're flamed more. It's like having a billion English teachers editing your every post. And the art of letter writing? How many letters did people actually write before email? People are writing letters more than ever before! The only thing technology has adversely affected is the ability to write with a pen. My handwriting sucks these days. |
