I think that you should give'em a whirl and see if you like them first at least. I also think that you should wear whatever you want. Who cares what people think about you? The only people who are going to worry about what you are wearing are people who are stuck in the clouds looking down on everybody else, not down to earth guys like yourself, so stick with it.
