Baltimore Cops.

I was arrested for standing in front of my own property at 9:30 on July 26th. I was released 8 hours later and charged with nothing...the Baltimore Police is a joke.

Run-in's with SEPD

Oh, where to begin? In December 2005, I was the victim of a stop and frisk by the SEPD. Two jackbooted thugs stopped their police van in the middle of the street, jumped out, and accused me of stashing drugs in my pocket (the "drugs" were my car keys). I called the SEPD Major to explain what had happened, and after he "interviewed" the officers involved, he determined that their actions were justified and that they did not owe me an apology. I later received an apology about two months later after Dan Rodricks published my story and a neighborhood liason from O'Malley's office got involved.

Around March, I summoned the police because I noticed that the cellar door of the abandoned property next to me had been pried open. The officer condescendingly asked me how long I had lived in Baltimore and then told me that I should accept this as a part of living in Baltimore City.

In July, I called 911 to report some individuals who were entering an abandoned property that was across the alley from my house. It took the police 30 minutes to arrive- by then, of course, the suspects were gone!

Last week, neighbors (whom I suspect are drug dealers) had a LOUD party that lasted until 3AM. Despite having made FIVE calls to 311, the cops did nothing. I even witnessed a cop pull up to the house at 1AM, and still NOTHING WAS DONE!

The SEPD is a f---ing joke!

"The Good Zip Codes"

For a more useful survey, it would be interesting to see the zip codes (past a present) that correspond to the answers (perhaps as an optional second question).
