( @wipu: in RA, the sovies didn't stop the german blitzkrieg, because it did not happen. germany was an allied side (even thou the political map doesn't fit in), and they had more firepower then all other factions. russia was able to conquer most of europe (as the story says), because the had much cheaper buildings and units, not more firepower or something. anyway, the german Tank Destroyer (as they call it Panzerzerstörer), the north korean Iron Dragon, the british Aeroblaze and the Cuban Hydra Cannon make a deadly combo.

In this "alternate timeline" soviets start the war but still have the best armored tanks (like the t-34 in WWII).

They had been known to share 1 gun between 2 soldiers. Above all, you're forgetting the base plot of all RA games. They are set in a parrallel time path where Hitler was killed by Albert Einstein who had developed time travel (Chronosphere). You can't say the Soviets are better by comparing them in wars that technically haven't happened... I believe the Aeroblaze is the best. Simply because around 3 of them can deal with almost any air assault when placed correctly. This helps to allow you to conentrate on other issues while air assaults are happening.

Yuri is a newcomer, something Like Japan in WW2, their airplanes had NO ARMOR, making them good Kamikazes. Allies are Technologically advanced but forget always about Soviet Power
Posted By: Dean Posted On: Jul 27, 2008 Views: 3176	Best Units? Abrams are simply a joke. They are not turreted. Even the most simplistic rush of rhinos crushes them. Best tank for close range, tesla tanks. They are extremely fast and turreted with the range of a bf, with very good power. Now, to supplement these monsters, siege copters. They are as fast as migs, barracudas, and faster then most of all land units excluding speeders. My friends and I actually have to limit the amount of siege copters to 10 otherwise they are the only factor in winning a game. Now, the best indirect vehicle. Iron dragons. Yes, they are slow, and their range is not that of demolishers. But the area effect is crushing. 3 direct hits kill a BF. Same for Apocs. A rhino meat shield with siege copters for air support makes Iron dragons destroy. Now, to the actual game. The allied recieved little boost in units. An old best unit is now pathetic. Rocketeers are embarrasing. BFs and kiting is still the way to go with possibly demolishers behind. Yuri is just pathetic. The infiltrators are countered with defenders and Soviets have the infector tank. The shadow tank is decent against units but are slow at destroying buildings. The infantry is the best, with harpoons being fantastic antiair, brutes nicely destroying vehicles, initiates awesome and cheap, and viruses. However, this cant pick them up from bad disks that can't kite any longer, weak vehicles, and worst of all, a navy with no boomers. Simply, Soviets are simplest and have the best country specific units. However, a good player is able to win with all three.
Posted By: This Guy Posted On: Jul 24, 2008 Views: 2612	Skirmish Games If you start a skirmish game with tech power as the mode then steal all the tech and capture a contruction yard from each faction its amazing how many units you can use. I unlocked a tank called the decimater im not sure how exactly but it has amazing armor, three turrets and fires tesla shells that kill most infantry in one volley and make mincemeat of all tanks even the apocalypse doesnt last that long. Theres a few units that aren't mentioned on the website that can be unlocked.

Posted By: HaHa Posted On: Mar 28, 2008 Views: 3334	The units which are less useful to me There are some units that I don't like.I don't like the Psicorp's special called Graveller Device,sure it can make a big explosion,but it has a very thin armor,it can be easily eliminated by air units and ground units.I also don't like the Chinese's special called Emperor tank,it doesn't have any weapon,although it can steal enemy buildings but I still think that it's too weak.The announce says that it can carry two soldiers which can fire out,but in my game it can't carry any soldiers.
Posted By: alan Posted On: Mar 18, 2008 Views: 3356	Aeroblaze!!! The Aeroblaze is the best tank for me, it makes you last longer in the game, especially agaist Kirov rushes... It kills anything in the air, ang can even smash naval armadas in a huff.
