| Posted By: slav Posted On: May 2, 2007 Views: 18 | Why Have Video Replay?!? Video Replay came about to ensure teams are properly credited for legite goals and not credited for non-goals. Was prompted following a season a few years back when Philadelohia was credited a goal that entered through the side of the net (about 12" away from the post) and no replay to get it right. Great concept to implement the technology and keep the game fair. Problem now is instead of it working as a tool to assist officials in making the correct call it has been used in lieu of any common sense whatsoever from officials in understanding what is being revealed. Why use a tool (video replay)) to help you if you don't know how to use it or understand what it is showing you??? |
