xbox 360 side benefits

You can buy a core xbox 360 ($299), hook it up to your TV and use it as a media gateway from your XP PC. Stream HD content, too. HDD needed when your PC's drives are cheaper and already have the content on them anyway. Oh, and it's a blast to play games on.

Xbox 360

Too bad the poll isn't clear about the percentage of people who already owns the console and the ones that plan to buy the machine...

I'm shocked to see how many people will NOT buy the PS3 versus the WII!

Xbox just does it better

Everything that PS3 has to offer, Xbox can offer AT LEAST with a similar quality, if not better! (Online gaming, anyone?) And it does that with half the price of PS3.

Now Microsoft only has to carry on doing things right, not forgetting its customers, and the battle has been won.

MS finally got it right!

With their second attempt Microsoft have managed to pull it off and offer us a great piece of gaming kit.

I just hope they won't ruin their current excellent with stupid rip-off micro payment schemes. :(

Xbox 360 full of surprises

Hopefully by July 2006, I can get a cool Xbox 360(premium of course).

I love the games: Splinter Cell,Dead Rising, Halo 3, Call of Duty, Assasin's Creed,Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, Fifa(best on the 360) and Pro Evolution Soccer aka Winning 11,and Gears of War!!!, and many others.
I also forgot that Resident Evil 5 is coming real soon............. So looooonnnnnggggg.

Xbox live is all that I neeed: online play with my friends, friendly challengers and elites(although they pawn a bit too much), Xbox live arcade: I'd like to play the old Doom and just once more, do the cool moves and entertaining fatalities in the old Ultimate Mortal Kombat.
I can download trailers and demos!!! Useful and Original in an easy fashion.

I like the controller,100% improvement than the morbidly obese S conroller and the dashboard looks quite nice.

Lastly, the price should hopefully go down in about half a year and if there isn't a price reduction, there will definitely be some very special offers. I would like to finally say that please may the 360 last me for real long.

Xbox 360

I've had my 360 since launch and I am still extremely happy and still excited to have it. Microsoft keeps taking strides in games, features, and support that will keep me a loyal customer for years to come. As far as I'm concerned there is no need for me to invest in a PS3, the 360 does what i want it to do.

blah

Xbox 360 looks fun and all, and I want all of the consoles eventually, but nothing has yet appealed to me enough to bypass the current gen games I am missing in the holiday flood to plunck down the cash for a new system instead of buying them all (Still playing FF12, still want Elite Beat Agents, Guitar Hero 2, tons of games). Most people don't just have this kind of cash.

Mature games eh?

Pray tell what would define a mature adult game then? Shuffleboard Extreme 2? Ultra Crocheting starring Mabel? High critical failure rate means just that. High. How may defective 360s are actually out there? very few compared to the majority of happy 360 owners who've had NO issues. Just wait till the first crop of bad ps3s pop up. That'll become a "high" critical failure rate as well.

"As far as I can tell, there aren't any games that appeal to mature adults on the 360. And for the record: blood and gore/big breasts/cursing are the telltale signs of immaturity, not maturity. Add that to the fact that the hardware has a high critical failure rate and it's Microsoft, you get a recipe for a console I won't touch with a ten foot pole."

I'm a douchebag

A mature game to me would be like maybe a game where you prove you're the best accountant. You know, like something that has no blood, gore, cartoon characters, etc....

This would be fun to me as I'm just a gaint douchebag and I cannot believe I said the 360 has no games for mature adults. Please accept my apology.

Toodles....

I've had one for a year.

Well, nearly at least. I got mine on probably the fourth shipment of them and I've had no problems. I'm having a lot of fun with Gears of War on co-op.

Planning to get one soon... but a vauge soon

I do plan on getting a 360 soon, but soon may mean from next week, to even next June... it depends on if I spy any good deals or any good racing game coming out.

Post-Christmas

I'm thinking the best time to pick one up will be right after Christmas. eBay gets flooded with unneeded X-mas gifts, and I'm hoping that perhaps one of those PS3 early-adopters might realize that he needs to sell his 360 and games to finance that $1,500 he got on eBay so he could have it the day after the launch. Halo 3 is a must, but I wouldn't mind HD movie downloads and Gears of War in the mean time.

awesome system

Gears of War is utterly phenomenal, and worth getting a system for by itself...never mind the huge library of other great games.
