another movie

The claymation version of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. We watched that EVERY holiday. I ended up buying the box set of all the claymation christmas movies. Love them all.

Go Scrooge!

I picked Grinch, as it was the answer for the "kid" years, but I agree with Jennifer. Once I was old enough to appreciate it, it was Alastair Sim, every year, and it still is.

My childhood favorite

A Christmas Carol -- the Alastair Sim version. The only one that's true to the book and doesn't de-Anglicize the words, and Sim's scrooge will always be the definitive one. His transformation at the end is fantastic!!

(A Christmas Story didn't come out until I was 13, so that didn't figure into my childhood. We love it now like crazycakes, though.)

My favorite every year has been two actually:

1. It's a Wonderful Life.
2. A Christmas Carol (the George C. Scott version).

Xmas Movies

For as long as I can remember, every Christmas my family watches White Christmas and Holiday Inn, and to this day, watching those films truly makes it feel like Christmas. I can quote them both just about word for word...which annoys my fiance to no end, although I think he secretly finds it amusing and endearing. :)
