Sorry tOdd, but everytime you have your own personal coverage about American Idol, well, Pop star recognition makes me throw up a little. I can understand recognizing a few big names out there since you hear them all the time. But in all honesty, sometimes if I'm watching a comedy skit they make some kind of joke about some pop star and it goes right over my head, and they announce the joke as though everyone is expected to know exactly what they're talking about. |

Human nature is to set oneself as the "Benchmark" for normal or typical but you of all people should know better. You honestly didn't know that a large part of the population have an obsession with celebrities? Tabloids and celeb magazines have huge circulation. Look at the number of shows like Entertainment Tonight on TV or the crowds outside any celebrity event. Personally I could care less about celebrities and I didn't recognize many of the photos but we are the minority. So what if so many do worship fame? You of all people shouldn't be judging what other people do with their time no matter how much of a waste you think it is. |
