New Political Party

I believe that it's time for a new political party. The Politicians today are all tainted by scandle and special interests. Money and themselves are all they care about. Lawyers have reuined this Democracy. It's over due time to reclaim the Goverment and the Country. No one. Not One of the current political faces have any credibility with this Veteran. People, Wake Up, Register to vote, Volunteer to serve.
We need to clean out Washington and Start Over.

Bush as King.

To Laura,

You are right when you say socialism wouldn't work with the human race. Good for you for studying. You are way off the mark with your comments on President Bush. I think it would be a good idea for you and all opposed to President Bush to lay off reading the newspapers and listening to our liberal and evil television shows. Instead, try looking at the facts. Our country is experiencing the greatest economic growth, extremely low unemployment, we have been safe on our home turf from terrorism thanks to the tenacity of President Bush. It would be much easier to take the Democratic chicken way out and come home from Iraq. The media wants you to believe that we have lost the war in Iraq/the war against terrorism. Who is the winner? If there is a loser why isn't the media declaring a winner? They can't because Iraq is moving forward, this does not fit the democratic agenda as they will suppress all things positvie in the image of President Bush. The Rieds of this world are obdurate in the progress of peace.

Philip, why did you change your mind??

You stated in a previous post Obama and Clinton are both "Communist." Why did you shift to the word "Socialist" in your latest post? Curious.

Obama the Socialist

True Socialism is a concept, human nature prevents it from ever becoming a reality. Obama's great appeal for tens of thousands of Americans comes from his hopes and dreams for fairness for all. Average Americans are providing (for the most part) the funds for his campaign. Sadly, our many and varied human flaws prevent Socialism from moving into the realm of possible. I studied Marx in my teens and early twenties. Our world would be balanced on many levels if we as humans were capable of true Socialism. It's not one click away from Communism as I've studied this as well. (Totally Humorous)

I was accused of "being" a Socialist/Communist in the 60's and certainly since then. Being against the war in Vietnam, Pro-Choice, an advocate for Civil Rights, human rights and open minded............well then, I must be a Communist. :-) Right?

Barack is a Democrat. If he believes Marx had many good ideas than I'm more Pro-Obama. We're presently dealing with a Dictator OR a guy who believes there's a thrown in the Oval Office. The Bush who would be KING!! I'm sweating how much more damage the Bushman will inflict on our land, soldiers and the planet before he's escorted from the White House. George has been snuggling closer to Communism than any "Commander and Chief" in our history. He's all deaf ears to the citizens, Senate and House. NOT in the job description. OK, how about this, take George to the Middle East, buy some land and go into business together. Dry, sunny..........build something like Vegas where all those of like mind and money can go and play. What happens in "Midgas" stays in "Midgas." Stay out of the WOMD business on the side though, bad idea.

As for Hillary; labeling her a Socialist made me laugh. It was hysterical rib threatening laughter! She's a "Hillaryist."

Obama the Socialist

Barack Obama, like Hillary, is a Socialist. While there may be very slight differences in Socialism and Communism, Karl Marx himself once said that there was no country that was truly communist at that time. If so, then why don't all you liberals go live in China, North Korea,or how about the former Soviet Union? According to Marx, these are "socialist" states. If Socialism is so great move to one of those utopias. Socialism is only backdoor communism.

President

Why do I think Barack Obama is the right choice for the next President of the United States? I've been paying attention since his speach at the last Democratic Convention. Obama is what I formally thought of as a "contradiction in terms." He is an honest person in ((((politics)))). Wow! The majority of the funding for Barack's campaign is coming from individuals; students, Dems, former Republicans, those who realize this country has just about bottomed out. Our current "state of the union" exists because George Bush is the decider and liar. Currently there's a movement in our country which has the potential to make this decade as memorable if not more so as the 60's. Why? Because thousands of people are experiencing something I barely remembered! Hope people.

Read Barack Obama's books, visit his website (barackobama.com) and talk to people who support him. Most importantly; listen to Barack himself. Do your homework and come back with what you think.

Vote Republican?

Vote for another Republican, I made that mistake once.

My healthcare costs have continued to skyrocket. Fuel is at record prices and record profits for a few. The prospect of future renewable energy sources is nothing but lip service that sounds good in the Presidents awful speeches, why didn't anybody give him speech lessons? We have waged a war based on false pretense against a country that wasn't our enemy and it has cost thousands of innocent lives. The Nations deficit has again been ignored; my grand kid’s grand kids will never be able to pay it off. My stock has done fair, but nothing great. We have lost world standing. Our President listens to no one but himself and he is normally wrong. Our President has failed to listen to any other global leaders except his buddy Tony Blair and I think Blair now questions what he did in support of GW. I wonder and fear how I will pay for my children’s college education. Our President believes he is smarter than all the scientists in the world and doesn't think global warming is anything to be concerned about. So much so we now call it "climate change" so it has a spin that it is a natural occurrence. Osama Bin Laden, the one who really attacked our country has all but been forgotten. We have spent billions on "home land security", but we are hardly more secure. Oh well, some small towns that had no possible threat of terror attack got some great equipment from the deal. Our children are still being "left behind" in school. I'm still free to buy some really cool guns that are deigned to do nothing but kill people at astonishing rates; I really don't need these for deer hunting. Does anybody know what has been going on in Russia these last 6+ years?

That's probably enough for me to plan to vote democrat. I like this Barack Obama guy; I even bought and read his book. Some say he's a far left liberal, I disagree. After having a far right conservative for the past six+ years, the other extreme might balance things out. I really don't care if those persons with $100,000 plus annual incomes have to pay a little more in taxes. To those whom much have been given, much will be expected (Luke 12:48).

We do still have our freedom, although a bit less thanks to the Patriot Act. I now get to wait longer at the airport since some guy with my name is on the "Do Not Fly" list. This is not bad, I appreciate them taking the time to check me out, so I can still fly. As Americans we should give thanks every day for the freedoms we often take for granted. Even if we disagree with their mission assigned by our "Commander in Chief" as he likes to call himself, our troops have done and are doing proudly what they were asked to do, we should pray for them everyday. Unfortunately the mid-east is more unstable now than it was when we went there. And how can you blame countries like Iran? Wouldn't you be thumping you chest and acting tough if the world’s largest army was wreaking havoc in a neighboring country? It seems to me that diplomacy and a little more trust in world leaders would have gone a lot farther for us. It appears as though Saddam Hussein, yes he was bad evil man who deserved to be brought to trial, but he wasn't lying about no weapons of mass destruction. We should have believed our UN inspectors. Why didn't we believe them?

Hilary is a poor choice, Her husband was corrupt. Let's nominate and elect someone who has'nt been bought. They have all been corrupt since early 80's. We need big change in this country.

President

What is the basis for one saying that Obama would be a great president? What has he done to make you believe this? He is a handsome man, an eloquent speaker and he wrote a book.
So what?

Another P.S.

Karl Marx was a "Socialist" which is quite different from "Communist." The concept of true Socialism is wonderful, a pity it doesn't work because humans are flawed. Marx wrote a terrific book. It's always bothered me when people babble words and phrases which are the result of brain washing experienced from their elders with small stagnant thinking. It speaks of a tunneled view of a large and diverse world. Such a small percentage "believing" they speak truths. Very sad!

Socialist, Abortion, God, War, Hell

I live in Ann Arbor, MI so it's easy for me to forget at times there are many places where things haven't changed in 40 years........ if ever. I'm Pro-Choice, Pro-Gay Rights, Civil Rights, live and let live in regard to religion and LIBERAL!! I can "forget" about the far right (wrong) at times. The climate here is not conducive small thinking living or thriving here. I live in an an Oasis as it were and I'm grateful for this. As for the broader scene; a Democrat WILL win in 2008, my vote will be for Obama (who is not a terrorist because his name "sounds" like that other guy. "Shark" and "bark" have nothing in common either. Think people! Obama will be your next President, who contrary to the present one has a functional brain. The war will end. We'll support the troops by bringing them home and rational thinking will again return to the White House. The White House has always been far too white!! Human rights (as opposed to oil, greed, racism, sexism, gay bashing and gun toting indiots) will return to priority in our nation. Global warming will be recognized for the reality it is. With our new leadership common sense will return as well. Have issues with this? How about Mexico or better yet........the Middle East?
