| Posted By: Ralph Lev Posted On: Aug 23, 2007 Views: 3043 | Tenir le meme sentier Recently, Haiti has made some tremendous effort.People, now can start to lift up their faces and say once again we are proud to be haitians. Statistically, we made progress as far as Security wise and people once again walk down the streets without worrying if they will get back home safely after doing their business. Cite Soleil that was the primary residence of certain bad boys, they are now talking about investing down there. It is good. Thanks, again Mr the president for keeping up your word and to allow us to breathe. since you cameback into Power, Haiti has made tremendous effort.Let's now find a way to encourage the investors to come down and open up ways for under previledge families. We need you in our country, because we know that you can do great things to help us and we will return the favor. Thanks to digicel for those two great years? You proved to us what a great investor can do for us. You are a real model, please keep it up. we need mor investors like digicel so our country can get better. Investors, the time has come for you to do the right thing. Investing in Haiti's future is a great investment. |
| Posted By: Michel Alexandre Posted On: Jun 5, 2007 Views: 3517 | Act like you know With the help of God these very words of JFK translated in creole is on a wall display at the place and will soon be all over the island. Using one own means some families have a something to count on. The year 2004 the most turbulent was the starting point. Voting for Preval last year was a no brainer. Investing in Haiti for the sake of Haiti must be the norm. Hello Mr Millionnaire from Texas, you do not have to be president to help the Haitians. Haiti in itself is fine. Pa mande sa Ayiti ka fe pou wou Mande sa wou ka fe pou ayiti Pawol JFK tradwi pa MWA(July 2004) on display at 109 Route Sable |
| Posted By: Ralph Lev Posted On: Jun 5, 2007 Views: 1945 | Espoir et Analyse Do we beleive in Hope? I hope we all think the same way, because l'espoir fait vivre.I would like for us to realize that we are all into this, and only us can come up with a cure. So far I can say that we are in the right path. We once again named someone we beleive in might do a great Job. Let's give him a chance to prove to the world that we are civilized people and that we can work with him for a better tomorrow. Security has been improving lately, and the Kidnapping environment has seriously diminished. It has not lowered at 100% but very close in the nineties. Many of the local gangs has been arrested by the PNH or the MINUSTAH.It is a good start so far. Let's take a moment to think what we can do if insecurity is gone completely. First we can bring in investors, and they would create employement for many people around the country. That would make our country safer because people would actualy find something to do instead of steling and causing harm to others. Then, tourrists from all over the world could come down and enjoy once more the variety of goods and services that this pearl of the carribean has to offer. Lots of dollors would flow. Haiti would be able to export goods from its fertile soil. Haitian all over the Globe will come down to utilized their degrees and pass on their knoledge into those who want to make a difference. The diaspora has alot to offer and can help Haiti enormously. Again we can do alot. Just like JFK Says" Do not ask what the country can do for you, but what you can do to help the country." Again, L'union fait la force. |
| Posted By: Michel Alexandre Posted On: Jun 4, 2007 Views: 882 | It is not fair It is Haitian to say one thing and mean something else. The title in itself is deceptive. I was expecting a fairness in the poll and cornered to choose the lesser of the evils. Mme Trouillot is my choice because she fits in that time frame. I voted last for Preval because he was in my view the only one who could gave Haiti some O2 after that flood of kidnapping which started as father Jn Juste will put it, with the kinapping of pere lebrun. If the Motto meant what I went through pour avoir le toupet de passer en voiture a Cite Soleil then it is an inhumane one. I am currently on my ancesters land helping with the battle against HIV and felt no safer than Haiti. I still have scars in my memory and my head where I was pistol wipped, but 911 made me think dying in Haiti while helping was the best thing to do. This is what I'd like to be rmembered for. Even though I support Preval, I am still unhappy with my fellow citizens way of resolving their differences. How can one say l'Union Fait la Force and Lavallas in the same breath. I have been to Grand ravine, nan ti bois, Sore, solino and yes Cite Soleil even after my release from my abductors and I can frankly tell you that I can relate with the only difference that I am from another school. The names like Ghandi, MLK, JFK, Lumumba, Louverture mean a lot to me. |
| Posted By: mike D Posted On: Apr 20, 2007 Views: 637 | A motto pas comme les autres Jean Bertrand Arristide, has institute a strong fundamental motto that has been with us for ever, but jealousely critized by many. He called it: ENSEMBLE ENSEMBLE NOU SE LAVALLAS" in other words LUNION FAIT LA FORCE. Many hate the term lavallas, wether you like it or not it...it true in every aspect of life. |
