My money

How about you others?

RE: My money

I don't understand this strange dialect you're using, GUW. Is "fon;t" some kind of secret code for a "sex-for-drinks" barter system at these bars you frequent, and if so, what's the exchange rate?

Also, I'm familiar with your standard "apple pie" or "Boston cream pie", etc, but not your "allpies". Is that more code used in your "sex-for-drinks" bars?

RE: RE: My money

Cmon Attila, posting something wrong about spelling is a waste of time. We all know that fon;t = don't (hence the f is right next to the d and the semicolon is right next to the apostrophe), interst = interest, and applies = allpies. It's really foolish looking and all though, so please, if you have the time, reread your posts before you submit them.

RE: My money

Has nothing to do with spelling.

I'm just trying to crack GUW's "drinks-for-sex" barter code. Among other things.

I thought that would be pretty obvious...

RE: My money

I don't drink...lol

I don't go to bars either!

Let's see, the real me works in accounting, takes six hours of college, teaches three and four year-olds at church. I stayed up until 2 am last night doing laundry, dishes, vacuuming, dusting, etc...I am a real wild woman!

RE: My money

OK, call me naive- was the person who started this thread the REAL GUW, pretending to be a bar-hopping lush with a credit-card addiction, a penchant for rental movies, and a taste for wierd pies? Plus an aversion to using SpellCheck?

Or, was it someone PRETENDING to be the real GUW, but with those actual character traits?

I'm confused. Here in the Amish country, we're pretty much straight shooters, (except we don't have guns), and we are who we say we are. This whole "pretending-to-be-another-poster" thing strikes me as silly, or as we say, "farfegnuggen".

Oh, and what's with the Devo reference?

RE: My money

BTW, I can relate- I was up till 12:30 powerwashing my patio (it was REALLY bad).

The neighbors must have loved it...

RE: My money

BTW again, we don't really ever say "farfegnuggen". That is really a funny German word from some old Volkswagon commercials. It's really means "The pleasure of driving" which is a very funny thing for Amish to say, don't you think?

RE: RE: My money

BLT again again, this is the real me saying the previous me was not me. Got that?

Wowsers, I've been impersonated. Ha ha!

Not only is "farfegnuggen" a funny thing for an Amish person to say, being how it relates to driving and all, it's even funnier to type.

On our computers.

On the Internet.

With electricity.

I was not trying to pretend to be a lush, and I really am a Sunday School teacher!

RE: My money

Wow, GirlUWant, that's far out! I'm actually involved in my church too- I play electric lead guitar in our worship band. Absolutely the most rocking band I've had the pleasure to serve with- the leader is always telling me to "turn it UP", which is a pleasant change from what I usually hear.

Needless to say- it's not Amish.

So what's with the Devo reference- or is that just coincidence?

RE: My money

Any relation to Devo is simply coincidence. Back off about Devo already! I could never stand them and never liked that weird video of them wearing modified planters on thier heads.

I am so excitcited about this weekend coming up. I have a great project planned for my students.

RE: My money

Seriously, Devo was pretty cool for a few minutes back in their day. 'Devo" is short for "de-evolution", the concept being that we're getting worse, not better. Which actually kind of works, if you believe God created man in his image in the Garden of Eden; we managed to screw that up pretty good, and we've been heading downhill ever since... when you stop and think about it, which I obviously have.

Although I'm not obsessed with them! You're the one named after their song! :) If I called myself "Sweet Child O' Mine", you might get the idea that I'm a huge Guns and/or Roses fan, y'know???

So, what's the project? Hopefully nothing involving making headwear from modified flowerpots!

RE: My money

Oh really, "Deyective Green"? What makes you so sure? Not that I care much one way or the other, Cagney and/or Lacey.

And my wife would find it amusing that you think I'm a her. I'm secure enough in my masculinity that if someone wants to talk about towels, etc, it doesn't threaten me one bit.

How about you?
