Posted By: pam n. Posted On: Apr 23, 2007 Views: 1261 | guitar lessons... yea. Im 15, and I take guitar lessons at this music for youth after school program place.. it's only $40 a month for four half hour lessons a month, once a week; 20 bucks an hour. not bad; that's half of what some people pay. It's a pain tho, cuz like I said, I'm 15, so I can't really get a real job what with the age thing and friggin school... yea. sux. |

Posted By: anon Posted On: Apr 23, 2007 Views: 1250 | RE: RE: guitar lessons... if the guy is any good at all, that's a steal. I'm 21, but the guy's I take from are at least 50 an hour, and many are 60+. Enjoy it. |
Posted By: Attila the Bun Posted On: Apr 24, 2007 Views: 1242 | RE: guitar lessons... So... are you saying the lessons are a waste of time/money? They are if you don't like playing guitar; although, as a person who has enjoyed playing semi-pro for many years, I can't see why that would be. Music makes you happy! If you can't afford lessons, do what I did: play along to music, (we had "records" back then), get a few inexpensive how-to books, and just have fun with it. Jam with people. Learn stuff from the kid down the block who's been playing six months longer than you. You'll learn more that way. Want proof? Clapton. Page. Hendrix. Etc..... |
Posted By: Um Posted On: Apr 24, 2007 Views: 1238 | RE: guitar lessons... You're a moron. Alot of his money is going towards that is all he was saying. Nothing is really a waste if you're paying for it...otherwise it makes you supid. doesn't it? |
Posted By: reincarnation of TK Posted On: Apr 24, 2007 Views: 1228 | RE: guitar lessons... I agree with attila. I've been playing a while and there are plenty of other ways to learn how to play guitar. If you have the option though it's great you're getting some lessons. If you look up for some tabs you'll be learning in no time, just pick an easy song and go along with it for a while, and gradually get better (I started with Seven Nation Army by White Stripes,it's a very easy and enjoyable song.) Good luck |

Posted By: reincarnation of TK Posted On: Apr 24, 2007 Views: 1223 | RE: guitar lessons... omg attila, get with the times!!!!! supid = the new stupid |
Posted By: Attila the Bun Posted On: Apr 25, 2007 Views: 1213 | RE: guitar lessons... And there's your proof... Supid is as supid does. The irony of it all... |
Posted By: Attila the Bun Posted On: Apr 25, 2007 Views: 1209 | RE: guitar lessons... BTW... I am supid and I do supid. I am so supid I have to wear earplugs all the time to keep my brain from leaking out. |
Posted By: Green (Detective) Posted On: Apr 25, 2007 Views: 1206 | RE: guitar lessons... That was a fake post! |
Posted By: Attila the Bun Posted On: Apr 25, 2007 Views: 1203 | RE: RE: guitar lessons... Great work, Inspector Henderson! What gave it away- the typos, the inane drivel, the dull glazed look in the eye.... ot the fact that it just wasn't very funny and/or challenging? |
Posted By: Green Posted On: Apr 25, 2007 Views: 1199 | RE: guitar lessons... Hey melon head! I was sticking up for you. I didn't want somone that was unfamiliar with you to think the imposter was you. You should be thanking me. I did think it was funny that after you mentioned typos that you made one though. Maybe it is you who is the imposter and you keep dumbinbg down random posts to throw us all off. After all you didn't post very often on this board before a few weeks ago. why the sudden interest? You used to use the name Mepball didn't you. Well, I hope you see the error in your way now. I am ready for my apology now. Detective Green Odd' Todd'd Official Identity Theft specialist |
Posted By: Attila the Bun Posted On: Apr 25, 2007 Views: 1197 | RE: RE: guitar lessons... Chill, dude. I know you were sticking up for me, and thank you thank you thanks for that. I was mocking the person who did the fake post- after all, the reason I wear earplugs is because I play my guitar beyond the threshold of pain, and everybody knows that. Kind of like Ted Nugent. Why the sudden interest? Why the heck NOT? I mean you guys seem to have a lot of fun, OR way too much free time on your hands. Or both. Most boards I've read have impressed me with the total snotty exclusivity of their "members"- in quotes because you can't exactly stand up and be counted when you're posting anonymously under one or more fake names. I think there's only three, or maybe four, other people who post under fifty names. New guy comes along: everybody gets threatened and pees all over themselves with fear... BTW, hardly new- been here since the beginning. Participated in contests and everything. It's called "having a life". I like melon. |
Posted By: Um Posted On: Apr 25, 2007 Views: 1195 | RE: guitar lessons... Atilla you are a moron. It was quite clear he meant new to the board! Infact it was already mentioned in a previous thread that you have were busily posting entries to the diary page (not new). As far as what you said about a life...Did your life fizzle away? You have been making a whole lot of posts lately and you seemed to indicate having a life kept you from doing that before. Aren't you in effect saying everyone on this board that checks on a regualr basis has no life? do you have anything positive to say? I am very disapointed in you. You're making a bad first impression. |
