Gas price question

At BK yesterday the owner of the 5 in my area said that he was gonna have to close at least 2 of his stores because of gas prices. The food truck is raising all kinds of prices, such as beef and chicken prices going up 10%. We got lucky, he's just going to close Harper Road and some other store out of town. So fast food places, in ****ing West Virginia, the fat stop of the world, are having trouble making ends meet, so how the **** are we supposed to?

just saying...can somebody explain to me a reason USING REASONS OTHER THAN POLITICS why they are this high?..?

RE: Gas price question

Adam you are a moron. He is talking about BK's closing due to gas prices affecting the prices of the things shipped to it. Ofcourse gas stations wouldnt close because of gas prices!

Mr. Drai..\Dragonmaster.

Isnt it about time you move out of BK? Grocery store is alot better place to work. Interesting name change thing...I didnt think you liked change but I guess it was necessary with the whole copycat thing. People may be too lazy to get the spelling right on that one.

Have good days.

I'm more ****ed that my annual trip to the Bahamas has gotten so expensive. I might eventually have to downgrade to business class.

RE: Gas price question

oh so i see...i read it as the "5" being a name of a gas station for some reason

ok even more so, if your business is doing that ****ty then he must be an idiot....5 BKs in WV? are they the only 5 in the state...the guy that owns the mcdonalds in town, also owns 16 others and is buying 13 more this year, you could raise all kinds of prices, he wont have to close anything, then again thats mcdonalds, you can put a mcdonalds in the most inopportune spot and ppl will still flock to it

RE: Gas price question

Yeah...love change, that's why I come here, same crap, different day. I can't really explain it...anyway, I don't post here very often anymore, just asked for a few days off to think about what to do next. (job wise) I drive an 1990 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royal...that name's to long...anyway, it's got a 3.8L V6, and I drive about 2 hours every day between my job and picking up my lil bro. That's over $100 a week in gas. I'm looking for something a little closer. I love working in a kitchen, but I want to make a step up...I've got the number for the head chef at Glade Springs (look it up or whatever...) I've worked with her before at MSU and a few volunteer things, so she knows how I work in a kitchen, so as long as she needs somebody I'll get the job. I just cant figure out why I haven't called her yet...?...?

It's not just BK; K-mart, Lay-Z-Boy, Magic Mart, even the brand new Mcdonalds and Sonic all withing 2 blocks of the BK I work at are suffering...in fact, the Lay-Z-Boy closes Friday.

Come to think of it...even the three (yeah...three) Walmarts in the area are slowing down. I went today to buy some bondo and rust remover at one for my car and didn't have to wait in line...odd...

RE: Gas price question

Oh, and I'm kinda fat, so using my bike for a 20 mile ride to work isn't gonna happen. Besides, I live in WV, I'd get shot at, lol.
