CBGB

...tells you all the pertinent info. A place that was having trouble paying its rent might not be the best candidate for opening up in Vegas, but I could certainly see somebody licensing the name for a club inside an existing casino.

Downtown

I'm excited about someone developing downtown,
but at the same time a little saddened because
that's all that is left of the "classic" Las Vegas.
Why not have some place that is a little seamier and frankly less than $100/night to stay?

Not every town should aspire to emulate New York in every way, including their outrageous hotel rates.

Yay for seamy Vegas. Maybe the new hotel will be "Homestead Inn" quality instead of "Paris Hilton" quality. Ewww, too many jokes about nice places for 300 people to stay there.

Excitement...

Would be if LV got a pro-sports team, as it'd give me another reason to go visit. New malls or over priced condo's I'll never live in don't excite me, in Vegas or anywhere else :)

Additions to Existing Properties

To me additions already in progress on two of the nicest spots on the Strip (Venetian and Wynn) are worth getting excited about. City Center's going to take a long while to live up to the potential and some other projects are just dreams.
