Best film so far!

Well I loved 300 mainly because of Frank Miller but I think Ratatouille, The Namesake and Waitress were amazing as well.

parisian rats and irish guitarists

I voted for Ratatouille as my favorite thus far, but I am a little torn because I really did fall in love with Once. I'd say its a tie because Ratatouille was one that I had been anticipating for some time and it definitely lived up to my expectations. While, on the other hand, Once was something I saw on a whim and was touched by.

Best so far

I'd say "Breach," was my favorite this year. Even though the mainstream moviegoer in my is screaming "Live Free or Die Hard," and "The Simpsons Movie." lol

uh... Black Snake Moan!

Black Snake Moan is, I'm pretty sure, my favourite of the year so far. I can't believe it wasn't on the list.

Best films so far (2007)

Just saw La Vie En Rose. Thought it was absolutely amazing. Possibly the best biopic I've ever seen

Grindhouse

I pick Grindhouse, just because I've never had a movie-going experience like that before.

Namesake, Lives of Others

1. Ratatouille made me cry. Beautiful.
2. Namesake did too. Unbelievably moving.
3. Lives of Others was a great film, but the last 10 minutes is superfluous for American audiences (possibly not for German audiences).

Sunshine

Sunshine again... I had to comment on this last week and again it comes up. It is my fav film of the year so far and I also loved Zodiac, Hot Fuzz, really had fun with Harry Potter, the Simpsons and Die Hard 4.0. Am going to see Transformers tonight and Waitress on Sunday. I have not seen Ratatouille or Knocked Up yet (this whole living in the UK thing really drags me down!)but am expecting good things from them. I also missed the lives of others at the cinema and will have to wait until it comes out on DVD.

Mainly my point is that was a bad list there and I suspect most are going to say other (which will tell us nothing!)

Best of the Year

I have liked The Lives of Others best, followed by Knocked Up, Ratatouille, and Zodiac.

Other

For me, it is surely Once. Lots of other good ones, but Once is mine for sure.
