Got to say I'm not sure

I think it's a good idea but the more I look at it, I think it's not going to work logistically. Even Foxy coming from the East End is going to struggle to make it to Glasgow Green for a 6:30 KO.

Also, it can be hairy enough walking through Townhead at times. I bet Glasgow Green will be very entertaining when it's pitch black.

That being said, I'm more than happy to give it a shot and see how it works out. As the Irish Tourist Board say "You'll never know unless you go".

Pitches

I would say yes. its worth a try for at least one week and see how it goes.

Give it a go at least once

Logistically its probably not the best place(being an east end boy, the area is not as bad as you think!!!)but financially its a possibility.

There are a few things to consider:

1. How long it takes to walk from office?

2. Kick-off time - would we need to change, to allow Alan time to catch his train afterwards?

I think we should play at least once and then make our opinions known and decide the best way forward.

pitched battle

Pretty much agree with what's been said. I'm all for giving it a go, and don't think there's necessarily anything to be scared of from the location, but the logistics of getting home are going to be a challenge for everyone. You know what it's like, you've just run yourself into the ground, you're knackered, you just want home asap - the last thing you need is a trek across town.

For the extra few p a week, is the inconvenience worth it?

New Stadium

Ok, I might be a bit biased seeing as my flat overlooks Glasgow Green and it would be a 5 minute walk home after the game, but I would definitely recommend everyone gives the pitches a try for a week or so to see how it goes!

Something to throw in the mix - the games cost £5 each a week just now, they would cost £3 a week on the new pitch, a taxi would cost £4 to get there (shared between however many people go) so still saving money at around £4 each and there's no need to 'power'-walk like we usually do. A pre-arranged taxi back (if a lift can't be bummed) would still break even for those that need it!..
