built this city?

I am not that much into pop culture, but I understood most of the other references in this poll. Is the most voting going against simply the song..."We Built this City On Rock-N-Roll"..., or what am I missing? Tie in with a commercial, or what? I can`t believe this song by itself is worse than P Hilton!!!! I sincerely want someone to help me understand how this is the runaway winner in the poll! Did they tie it in with the rock museum or something? I`m guessing its a reference to more than just the song itself, but I am clueless as to what!? The song can`t be THAT much worse than some of the other choices,... can it???

Radio Goo Goo Radio Ga Ga!

That song is a travesty - the fact that the group got back together as Jeffferson Starship and then just Starship, right? I mean, come on.

Come on Eileen! another travesty.
