Posted By: jam Posted On: Nov 27, 2007 Views: 690 | RE: Global Warning I agree, it's a lot of hype about nothing. The warm weather will be nice, who likes the cold anyway? |
Posted By: lemonlimeguy Posted On: Nov 27, 2007 Views: 689 | RE: Global Warning Yes, but that's irrelevant. A car's exhaust fumes are toxic. Even if the theory of global warming is wrong, everyone on earth is still being slowly poisoned by your Hummer. Also, the world is running out of oil. We can't make new oil (at this point, anyway) and if we don't come up with a new way to fuel things (electricity?), then we're screwed. What's the point in insulting hybrids, anyway? Most people who own hybrids own them because they are far more efficient, and want to avoid buying gas, since it's now upwards of $3.00 per gallon. |

Posted By: ??? Posted On: Nov 27, 2007 Views: 684 | RE: Global Warning Let's vote on which one of the four morons above is the stupidest. I can't decide between #1 and #4. |
Posted By: Wipple Posted On: Nov 27, 2007 Views: 670 | RE: RE: Global Warning It is hard to say. #1 - #3 are probably the same moron. #4 is a different moron. Correcting someone and then misspelling 'retard' puts you pretty high up on the list. Thinking that the massive amount of evidence supporting the global worming theory is 'all crap' also puts you high on the list. I say we sit back and wait to see what they do next, then vote. |
Posted By: No Name Posted On: Nov 27, 2007 Views: 662 | RE: Global Warning I'm supposing post #2 is sarcastic. Either way, it's going to be a fun ride. Good luck to all of you. |
Posted By: Cinealta Draiodoir Posted On: Nov 27, 2007 Views: 655 | RE: Global Warning Sigh...well I love my car. It's almost 20 years old, ****es off those Need For Speed posers when I smoke them at the lights in their little plastic hot wheels(so long as I don't sit there and let her spin), and still gets 28mpg. I'd change it over to electric in a heart beat, I'd even put up with less range, I'd be happy to pay for and build solar panels and a wind turbine on the roof of the house to power it so some coal plant somewhere doesn't just pollute the same ****. Problems...cost is one. Yeah, gas is way high, but it's spread out. Two is power, I know good an well no electric motor will power my car like the gas will. I've driven an electric car, I love the smooth acceleration, but miss the feed back. Third, where the hell do you get the stuff here in WV? |

Posted By: weeze Posted On: Nov 28, 2007 Views: 644 | RE: RE: Global Warning you can always tell a genuine dragonmaster post from a fake because he likes to write as if he is an expert at something but to anyone that knows anything about the subject it is obvious he is talking out his fat ass. so much bs in such a short post...where to start. first off you have posted several times about how your car is a piece of **** and it barely runs. now all of a sudden your buick sedan or whatever it is has become faster than a modded ricer? right. i'm sure you have some story about how you invented some new spark plugs that makes your car faster than an evo rally car and you were invited to race in europe but can't afford to ship the car otherwise you would go. second, if you are going to talk about ****, learn about the **** first. solar panels are history. a company has developed solar material that is 1/10 the cost of solar panels and can be made into any shape. in a few years you will be able to buy shingles that are solar collectors. maybe for you and your state they will market solar tar paper so even the hillbillies can use solar power to watch maury. third, you know nothing about electric propulsion in cars. feedback has to do with the suspension and steering systems not the engine. electric motors have more potential for high performance cars than gasoline engines because torque is immediate. in a combustion engine it arcs with rpm. The Eliica is 100% electric and can go over 230 mph, 0-62 in 4.2 seconds, and costs a little over 1 penny per mile to run. |
