hi

I am not 100% convinced, but I feel each individual card has its very own ID, so you can load credits on it for subway passage. So he can white list cards IDs. https://www.southsmoke.com/

The Galloping Cat

As with the great poetry (and I regard Stevie Smith as a great poet) the subject isn't the object. Whilst the subject may be the 'galloping cat', her object in this poem is about the materialists view of what "good" is. There is a self righteous and self satisfied tone that brooks no challenge. It's in the person who knows what you need without consulting you. It's in the organisation that 'does good' in the community that doesn't want it but wants the respect of being consulted. This cat is no respecter of anyone but themselves. In fact, the cat has a contempt and rage towards the angel in their path. Because the cat knows best!

There's something chilling and deadly about this portrayal that makes it a masterpiece.

The Galloping Cat

Far from nonsense, this is social comment.
She can't 'alf tell 'em. I heard a recording of her on BBC R4s Poetry Please ages ago. Ace delivery.

Stevie Smith's Galloping Cat

I do not believe this to be a nonsense poem; anyone who has ever lived with cats will realize that this is exactly how cats behave, and that the thought process and logic described in this poem has the cat persona down "to a Tee". One of my favourite poems!

Re: The Galloping Cat

As a cat lover, I think this poem by Stevie Smith is
good fun. Since I've never seen a galloping cat in my
life, I would say that this is a nonsense poem. Would
