Sor far, my phillies are holding up. If they win the NCLS Championship, I can't see them repeating as World Series Champions. The Yankees Are a better match for philadelphia. But unless the phillies beat the yankees in 5, A long series favors N.Y.!! Philadelphia matches up terribly against the Angels. Last year The Angels swept Philly and the average final score was 8-3. My eagles play the raiders this sunday. Big Deal. The raiders were lucky that they beat Kansas City. Easy win. Until the Giants play the Eagles in three weeks, I'm not buying that they are a playoff team. |

So I think that is a good thing. But I am sad because the wrestling world lost 2 special people in less than a week. Harley Race's wife,BJ, passed away last weekend. There is an old saying"Behind every good man is a good woman.". BJ was definitely that. I met Harley Race twice. The 2nd time that I met him,BJ was there. We talked to her for a few minutes and she was extremely nice. Today, I just found out that WWF/E Hall Of Famer "Captain" Lou Albano passed away today. Kelli and I met Lou Albano 4 years ago in New Jersey. To say that he was a piece of work is an understatement. He was also a very nice fellow who treated kelli and I very well. It would take 4 whole blogs to write how much "Captain" Lou Albano meant to the WWF/E and wrestling overall. For the youngsters on this site, Look up lou albano. Believe me, He was one of the all time bests!! My prayers go out to the Race and Albano families. |

I wrote areport on the Kevin Thorn signing on www.Wrestlingfigs.com and got an interesting response from a reader who was happy to hear some good news about wrestlers who are good with kids. He mentioned Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio as two wrestlers who are great with fans that are children and that we should not rush to judge them. I do agree that Hardy and Mysterio are great with kids. Larissa loves Mysterio. I won't rush to judgement but right now, things do not look good for jeff hardy at all. As far as I know, This is mysterio's 1st suspension and I believe that he deserves another chance. I'm fine with that. Jeff Hardy has failed the WWF/E Wellness Policy twice. He takes a leave from the ring to pursue other interests. Weeks later, A police sting reveals that hardy had enough drugs, cocaine,steroids and painkillers to fill a small pharmacy. You know, Jeff has had alot of chances and more lives than a cat. I would like to think that this is a huge misunderstanding. Realistically, I feel that Jeff Hardy just threw his life away. Also, I have a very bad feeling that the WWF/E had knowledge about jeff's habits and let him go before he became a sad news story like Eddie Guererro and Chris Benoit. I can't think of a realistic,logical reason why jeff hardy had so much drugs in his home. I know that some people will say that he will be proven innocent like Kurt Angle was. But as I said before, Jeff Hardy has a long track record and this latest incident makes it look even worse. Jeff Hardy needs help in alot of ways. His fuse was lit long before his latest arrest. I just hope someone puts the fuse out before he explodes. |

There was legitimate heat between Vince McMahon and Bret Hart because (1)..Hart did not want to lose the belt to Shawn Michaels(who he also did not like at all) in montreal or anywhere else for that matter.(2)..Hart was leaving the WWF/E for WCW. There is no heat between McMahon and The Undertaker. Vince took it upon himself to order the referre to screw bret out of the WWF/E World Heavyweight Championship. Here, It was theodore long that made the order. The Montreal Screwjob is real. What happened at Breaking Point was part of the wrestling event. |
