| Posted By: Promote, Promote, Promote Posted On: Jun 23, 2008 Views: 1314 | Get the Word Out I agree with life long learner. Everyone needs to keep learning and in these times when 4-H has to compete with sports, boys & girls clubs, scouts and other organizations like that for kids' time what better way to promote 4-H to a large portion of Arapahoe County than at Fair! Having a mayor that supports 4-H and is very visible would be a great support to the 4-H program. |
| Posted By: Life Long Learner Posted On: Jun 20, 2008 Views: 1391 | Vote "Learning By Doing" That's the 4-H Moto. I support a Mayor who knows how to have fun while encouraging the young and the not so young to learn something new. |

| Posted By: Catherine Posted On: Jun 5, 2008 Views: 566 | Big Brown Eyes and Long Lashes My father bought a farm in Virginia when I was just two years old. He went about buying our farm animals, planting a garden, and acres of corn. Of course, one of the first animals he bought was a big brown eyed, long eyelashed cow, Daisy. a sweet and gentle Guernsey. Daisy became my good buddy and I'd go outside to talk to her all the time. My uncle used to love to tell this story. I do remember talking to Daisy and just enjoying her understanding company - to me she always knew just what I was telling her. Daisy was always so calm and sweet. I think my father, mother and uncles got more fun out of watching me discuss my life events with my special friend and confidante. Daisy still holds a special place in my heart. I can see her kind face and thoughtful eyes to this day. I went on to become a great talker with our horse, mule and dog. It was hard to vote for just one animal as I love all farm animals; but the cow and horse were the most special of all! |
