A respected singer and much senior to me......., he is a household name in Nepalese music industry......... Much of his songs {folk} are immortal {Simsime pani ma, Banjho khet ma, paan ko paat n' so}........ even the new generation loves humming his songs........ Though he's been livin in America, he has never abandoned Nepali music n' furthermore, he's very well known for helping any Nepalese in need despite his busy schedule...... For that ,I respect him even more.......!!

Prem dai was our the best folk singer while he was in Nepal. He has contributed a lot to add some important corner stones to bring the Nepalese folk music to the heights of popularity. After listening this interview, I find him still active and much concerned for the development and expansion of Nepalese culture throughout the world. We are very much proud of him. Prem dai,keep it up.

Prem is no doubt quite a popular folk singer in Nepal then and still people like him. Most of his folk songs are all time hit. I thank him for promoting Nepalese folk songs to international arena mainly in the US. Keep up the good work!

But in the end he sings a song welcoming to Bultimore. I would like to ask a quesiton why you don't welcome American to Nepal.Why you don't say Welcome to Kathamandu............. there are many city in nepal and rivers too.......Why you like America while Nepal is your motherland.From my point of view even a famous singer welcomes to other Nepali in other's people country and what about other people.It is the time to think. If we don't think it in time and i am sure one day western countries will establish their majority. and our culture and traditon will collaps. Only physical facilities are nothing.When we get birth in a nation we have to able to contribute something for nation.
