options

What about Sting? And Bruce Hornsby? Or Donald Fagan? Those are my favorites, way above anyone on the list.

springsteen wins

the problem is that in my book, both dylan and springsteen are unmatched, but where as dylan is still making good music, springsteen is still making great music. plus, springsteen's shows are still legendary, but dylan's are (often) disappointing. it's a hard choice, but i'm going with springsteen. neil young is a close third.

the SHAT!

Of course William Shatner would be leading the poll if he were on the list. I interpret his omission to mean that Paste already assumes that he's everyone's favorite. Thus the poll is actually asking for the 2nd fav.

Best musician over 50?

Without question, B.B. King. How could he be left off this list?

Bob Dylan & Paul McCartney

I vote for with the masses for Bob Dylan unless the poll is suggesting which artist over the age of fifty (and the work they've done over the age of fifty). In which case I would have to vote Paul McCartney.

Or, for that matter...

How about all four Stones? They're over 200 all together!

Are we going by overall track record, or just since the musician was 50?
