Your match was great a this year's Wimbledon Championships. You ladies are such great role models I which you could win every tournament to stop all the haters both on the net and sometimes even in the commentary both and most if not all of the time people making negative commentary haven't had nearly the amazing career yall have keep winning we love you!!1 |

I don't understand the scoring, or earning of points in Tennis. Serena gained 450 points after Wimbledon and Venus gained zero, at least from the information in the WTA website rankings page. I wrote down the top seven seeded players points totals prior to Wimbledon, and today's totals show no gain for Venus. Why didn't Venus earn any points for either of her wins there? RESPONSE: Sonya, to answer your question, the reason that Serena gained points and Venus didn't is because last year Serena lost in the quarterfinals (and so this year she gained points by reaching the final). Venus did not gain any points, because she was the defending champion. Had Venus lost the final this year she actually would have lost points. |

I am a first African American volleyball player at a university with a 15% minority ratio that includes all minorities. My challenges are great.
