Opposites of proper displayed in comment..

Improper often refers to unethical conduct, a breach of etiquette, or morally offensive behavior: improper business practices; improper behavior. Unbecoming suggests what is beneath the standard implied by one's character or position: language unbecoming to an officer/peers. What is unseemly or indelicate is in gross violation of good taste; indelicate especially suggests immodesty, coarseness, or tactlessness: an unseemly use of profanity; an indelicate suggestion.

Proper people/Upper income

This could get good! LOL!
I've always thought of this sport as "the great equalizer." It didn't matter where you came from, or what you do, or how much money you have. I "THINK" it's supposed to really be about the dogs. NOT the owners. LOL!
It would be a shame if it were any other way.

"PROPER PEOPLE"??????

"PROPER PEOPLE" I sincerely hope your not serious as every entry contributes to the points wether that entry costs a person one hour of wages or 4! Perhaps the sport/breed would have more/better QUALITY dogs if a persons bank account/status had less to do with it and hard work, sincere effort, better thought out breeding practices more!

Upper Income

I am thankful that the cost of showing is going up, as we will have more proper people enjoying this sport!

Gas

I already drive a car that gets 30+ mpg, as long as I observe the speed limit. If you're interested, its a Chevy Impala.

What I see happening, is dog shows will be a upper income event. Kind of like horses have become. The price of shows will go up as fewer are entering. Handlers will have to charge more since their cost are going up, and they will have fewer dogs to show. Motels will go up as fewer people are traveling. Gas is going up so fewer are able to travel to the shows. Which will knock out the middle income dog fancier. And that will be a shame.

You are right Beve it may well impact our ability to have major entries. With few exceptions most shows I am going to this year seem to be below last years entries.

Looks like we will have a tougher time getting majors!
