Setlist

I will get up to take a **** and have a smoke during That crappy 3rd section while everyone else in the arena/stadium considers suicide from listening to the songs in the 3rd set.

Her dance moves.

Hi Benn,

I have to say Ben that I thought the dance moves on Confessions were fantastic! I watched that show a few times. At first I wasn't too impressed, more to do with the lack of classic hits. But I was in the front row, the second night and she really move. Also the DVD, shows some great moves. I know what your saying about the cow boy stuff, but I do think she gives 120% into each number: I have come to the idea that she has forgot the words to all her hits now. Which is why we get the same old stuff. I've heard she is doing a film, like In bed with Madonna 2. BUT BUT... will that mean no tour DVD, like NO BA or Re-invetion?

Deja Ve

This is something else that bothers me...I dont want to see the same dance moves and costumes from tour to tour. Lets take her performance for "Dont Tell Me", she kept the country theme for DW, then during the RITour we saw the same country dancing with a Paris background??? Just b/c you have a beret on doesnt make it any different. Then she did the same [dance] moves on this promo tour that she did during the CT. The costumes for "Hanky Panky" were almost identical for the BA and RIT as was the dance moves now that I think about it. And Ive read that "Isla"' is going to be like the Live Earth crap she did! WHY?!?!?!?!
Things like this are what make me, as a life long fan upset!
I (we) deserve better!
I (we should) demand better!

Her long time fans:

Hi Benn & Ricardo, I still have that 1984 Healthy poster Benn, I was 12 back then and I still have then all. Wish we had a fan page with pics of everyones posters ect... The thing Madonna and pleasing fans with her tours, is that she has picked yo so many fans through each generation. Many fans came along with the Erotic period, and some were not born when she first came out. I do however think that the fans who have stuck with her for twenty five years should be treated to a section of the show where she goes back in time to say a mix of 20 really old hits. That could last 10mins. Jackon used to do that on his tours: Why does everyone talk about the BA tour as her best? The sets that Chris did and the hits she played. I thought the music was great played Live on the girlie show. Ricardo, LOL@ you going to the toilet when Borderline is on...

oldies not repeats

I don't care if shes going to play (a lot) of songs off the new album, its expected. What we don't want to hear are the same old songs tour after tour.

I've been a fan since the "Healthy" t-shirt days, and I just want to hear some different/ old hits.

I accept holiday as a closing song each time (and I was a sad for the last tour not hearing it), but lets limit it to just that song. NO More "Music" NO More "Isla", I want to hear songs Ive yet to hear live!

(is this too much to ask?!)

Madonna's early work may be boring for you, but many of Madonna's fans enjoy her early songs. Madonna will probably only include only 4 old songs, so the majority of the setlist will be new songs. I don't care if Madonna's only going to perform four old songs. Just as long as those songs weren't already performed on the Confessions Tour and that only one old song (if any) has been on the Re-Invention Tour, then I'll be happy.

What I don't like about Madonna is that she would rather perform overplayed songs like La Isla Bonita and Ray of Light instead of rarely performed songs like Open Your Heart and Nothing Really Matters. I'd want Music off the setlist too if I didn't like the new version of it so much.

Whether we like it or not, Madonna will only perform songs that she wants to perform. Lets hope that in the future, Madonna will take suggestions from her fans. :)

Love Profusion!

The only reason I paid MEX$3980 (USD360) for each ticket is to see her perform new songs. I became a fan of hers back in 1998 when I heard Frozen for the very first time and since then I’ve bought every album she’s released. Ray of Light is a master piece; I simply love Music, Mirwais killed it! American Life is just great, I like to think of it as an “acoustic album”; Confessions is now a classic and Hard Candy rules!

It’d be boring if she included old songs such as True Blue, Who’s That Girl or Dress You Up, I don’t enjoy her 80’s music at all. I know those songs are classics now but they had their chances; when she sings Borderline it’ll be the perfect time to go get a soda.

So Neil as you can see she can’t satisfy her fan’s wishes at all so you better stick to your plan of screaming your head off and jumping up and down having a great time.

...
By the way, FutureSex/, Graduation and Blackout are great albums and I love the fact she’s including video performances of Justin, Kanye and Britney on her tour.

Immaculate Collection world tour

I do see where you are coming from with alot of stuff your saying: Though I am sure if The Immaculate Collection was reissued with "Who's That Girl" "Dress You Up" and Tur Blue. She would get the sales. I have played the new album everyday in full since the day I got it. I am trying to make myself love it, lol. Its just when I hear songs like dress you up and True blue, it takes me back to a great time in my life when I was young, and I just get this great feeling inside, thdey make me want to dance. I just wanted to live it again. I'll just stick on my old warn out VHS virgn tour and enjoy. At the end of the day, Dani, I'll be screaming my head off, whatever she sings, It could be Super natural, and Id be jumpming up and down having a great time.

If those people aren't satisfied since The Girlie Show then maybe they should accept that as long as Madonna is relevant and keeps releasing hit albums, her shows are gonna focus on new stuff and her own favourites. And does it really matter what those people say anyway? Should we, the fans care about that?

As for previous tours, DWT had 8 songs from Music, 6 from Ray Of Light, while CT had 10 songs (1 repeated as an interlude) from COADF. So having 9 tracks from HC is nothing out of the ordinary.

And while it's not true for the UK, she sells a lot more tickets than CDs in several countries actually, like Portugal, Spain or Greece I think (I might be wrong, but music sales there are very low). And I think in the USA too. During the RIT, many critics commented that more people were willing to pay the ticket but not get a copy of American Life. The thing is, you can get an album illegally, but you can't copy a live performance. Madonna said this in her MTV interview on the day of Roseland Ballroom show.

And personally, I don't think the fake setlist was incredible, it had some pointless songs as well. It just shows that she's never going to satisfy all of her fans. If she sang most of The Immaculate Collection along with "Who's That Girl" and "Dress You Up", we at Mad-Eyes surely wouldn't be impressed. ;-)

The set list

Don’t get me wrong Dani, I’m completely obsessed with Madonna. My world revolves around her. I never go a day with playing her music, or reading all the fan pages: I spend my life defending her. Its just ever since the Girly show the set list have disappointed people. I go to a few shows on every tour, and when I walk away, the only criticism is that she did not do enough hits. Her shows are increasable, and keep getting better. Her voice live has improved with time. I was mean last night, about Hard candy sales, but even on the Virgin tour, there were not nice tracks of one album. It would be imposable to please all, but to repeat La is la, ROL and music, again. When she could have done any other three hits. To fake set list was incredible, I’d wished that had been the show, we have spend £165 to watch. As for her tours are used to reach her audience with new music. After spending that money on a ticket, I’d be shocked to find anyone in the audience who had resisted a the price of a CD.

Hey Neil,

I'm sorry, but the tour was announced only a week after the release of Hard Candy, and its title comes from the opening track, so I think it's pretty obvious that the tour is created to support the album. Even if it's not selling well compared to most of her previous albums, it's sales are decent in the music industry of 2008. I think everyone knows Madonna has a new album out, "4 Minutes" became a big hit after all.

Besides, Madonna uses the tour to make people hear the new music, because she can't rely on record sales and radio/MTV airplay anymore, she accepts the way the industry is heading. Personally, I'm glad she's doing that, I'd be disappointed if we only got a few Hard Candy tracks, I'm very excited about most of them!

It's also unfair to say she's out of touch with her fans. She sold 1 million tickets already, I'm not sure if your opinion equals theirs too. I can imagine a lot of people buying tickets and expecting to hear show-staples like "La Isla Bonita" or "Music", sounding different from their previous versions.

Booooo!

Im not that impressed with the list either. I Am excited about Human Nature, Into the Groove & Impressive Instant, but the rest...NOT REALLY! Real long time fans want to hear new things...Nothing Really Matters, Rescue Me even Where Life Begins, BUT NOT You Must Love Me, Music and that sad, sad Spanish Lesson...come one! If I hear La Isla Bonita Im going to scream!

Out of touch with her fans

I think Madonna is out of touch with her fans. On what people really want from her tours: She has had 25 years of hits, and keeps going back and singing the same old songs, La is la Bonita will now have been sang in 1987, 1993, 2001,2005,2006, 2008. Yet Whos that girl was done only once. Ray of light and music AGAIN! not good, and she will be doing nice songs from an album which has one of her worst sales. I dont see the point in going on tour and singing crap records. Hard Candy is not selling well. The people who have bought a ticket will have Hard Candy, she does not need to sing it too them. I think she should listen to her fans for once. The only song I want to hear will be borderline. I iked hung up, but her new way of doing it stinks.

Posted Setlist Spoilers-That Setlist Is Aweful!!!.

I just read the article about the rumored setlist and I hope that is just a rumor and not the real deal. That setlist sucks!! If that is the setlist, I am selling my tickets. I did not pay $165 each for tickets to hear those crappy songs. Madonna has over 25 years of hits and that setlist is a huge disappointment.

Human Nature? Impressive Instant? You Must Love Me? Human Nature? Spanish Lesson? La Isla Bonita? Ray Of light? Those Songs Suck!!WTF!!!

Those songs suck! What about Vogue, Open Your Heart, Express Yourself, Rain, Justify My Love?

Come on Madonna-listen to you fans!

N-R-M

Lets see this through... "Power of Good-Bye"; we've heard this live and it doesn't sound good~I love Mo and all, but she has trouble hitting all those notes. "Feels like for a Girl; this was done twice in one concert and that really ****ed me off, you have so many songs to choose from and you decide to have the same song twice in one concert=Not Cool! "American Pie"; umm NOOOO! "Hollywood"; was Awesome as a interlude~its not that great of a song, but the remix was worthy. "Love Profusion"; is ok but we all would rather see a number where the chirography has the chance to kick ass!
