Spin-Off Results

Congratulations goes out to Leisha Hailey (Alice) for being chosen as the Spin-off Star. I do believe she will do a good job I just think everyone is having trouble letting go of Bette and Tina. Let's support ALICE the best we can.

Spin-Off

This spin-off is as bad as waiting for the presumptive President VP to be announced. What we need is for Showtime to let us know who the individual is then we can all debate reality. I do hope that they realize what most of us want is for the current TLW to just continue. As I have seen in the past spin-offs never seem to work. Looking for Tibette to continue for a long time to come.

spin off

I agree that the spin off should be all the main characters and this show has only begun to tell the real story. Good Luck to Tibette

The LWord Spin-off

I'd rather see the L Word continue with its main cast of characters (Bette, Tina, Alice, Shane, Jenny, Kit, Helena, Phyllis, Joyce, Max and Angelica).

There's so much more to tell about their lives....

Angelerica is the most suitable one

Actually, Tibette storylines has already been shown throghout the whole TLW series, starting from their first met, miscarried, broken up, reconnected, re-broken up, and then rekindled....etc. I really don't know what else left for further spin-off in a new series. Maybe, their daughter, Angelerica, should be the most suitable character for spin-off. It will be a very good controversial issue to discuss how a girl growing up from a two-moms family.

If it's not tibette

I'll save money. I pay for showtime just to watch the L Word. I literally watch nothing else on the channel. If a spinoff is centered on anyone other than tibette, I might watch it when I catch it at someone else's place, but I certainly won't keep showtime for it.

TiBette has the LARGEST Shippage

TiBette has the BIGGEST following and we will follow Tina&Bette any where they go.

L Word Spinoff

I've been reading all of the comments by you all regarding this potential spinoff. If what is noted is correct, that only one actress is being considered, then Showtime is looking for an actress who has enough chemistry to engage an audience, is strong, and whose character can carry and sustain a show alone. While I would love a tibette storyline because these two characters are over the top incredible together, and I love them dearly, I don't believe Showtime is going there. Besides both Jennifer and Laurel have toddlers I'm sure they would love to devote time to. So, my belief is that either the Alice or Shane characters have the best chance of being spun-off. Leisha, as we know, is also in a band, so I don't know if she will committ to such an endeavor. However, in my opinion, she's the one who also has the greatest potential to produce interesting storylines given her new found profession per the end of season 5. She's strong and opinionated and resonates with the lgbt community. The Shane character has been used mostly for love-'em-'n'-leave-'em-I'm-not-able-to-committ-to-anybody-let's-****-for -****ing's-sake storylines. However, she is endearing and non-judgmental and has the potential to explore that part of her and grow. The downside to her is that she has no plan for any sort of future, currently has no job, though she may be able to re-connect with her burned down business and go from there. The Jenny character also has possibilities, but I don't like her too much and she wears thin. Max, Kit and Helena haven't made too much of an impact and are not strong enough characters to sustain a show alone, in my opinion. Any comments?

tibette chemistry

Although I know that Laurel and Jennifer are both heterosexual in real life, their onscreen chemistry in The L Word is so intense it's practically palpable and TOTALLY believable. Kudos to both actresses for such magnificent performances. If Showtime is stupid enough to end The L Word after next season and pursue a spin off, I think Tibette is the only combination strong enough to survive. Anything else would, I fear, follow the Joey route from Friends.

Don't stop the L word

I so don't want the show to end. This spin off thing is ok but I want the whole crew! I hope it's tibette spin off though, but they said it's only one of the actresses. :(
