There was a meeting of the minds of jm and Darren Robinson ........... Sources say the new band: (CALIFORNIA) consists of Phantom band members and CAKE. Is it true that CAKE and Phantom Planet are forming a new band?? |

CAKE already lives up to a great California band with a genuine sound. Not sure if a Phantom Planet and CAKE vibe would mix......might ruin the CAKE sound, but it would be an interesting venture for sure. |

There were 5 bands all together, cold war kids, gaslight anthem, Alkaline Trio, CAKE and Slightly Stoopid. Awesome show, what a treat to see CAKE in a small club like 4th & B. After seeing CAKE in a small municipal gym in oroville, CA a few months ago, and now this, wow I don't think I will ever be able to go to large venue. It was a great show in San Diego, CAKE is sooo good live, I feel honored to have been there!! The reason that this show was not widely advertised is that it was a radio station sponsored show at a small local club, and CAKE did not headline. So now you know why CAKE was in San Diego 12-12-08 peace |
