| Posted By: sandhill38 Posted On: Mar 28, 2012 Views: 1028 | FOX NEWS THE ONLY NATIONAL NEWS I WATCH IS FOX, ALL THE COMENTATERS ARE FAIR AND BALANCED, THEY GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO SHOW BOTH SIDES. I HAD A GREAT AWAKENING IN OCTOBER 1982 WHEN I LIVED THROUGH AN EXTEREMELY BAD INCIDENT WHERE I LIVE. WE HAD A SHOOT OUT BETWEEN OR LOCAL SHERIFF DEPARTMENT AND A SELF PROCLAIMED REGLIGIOUS GROUP. I WAS ONE OF VERY FEW ACTUAL EYE WITNESSES. I GAVE AN INTERVIEW TO ONE OF MAJOR NEWS REPORTERS, THAT WAS MY ONE AND ONLY. HE COMPLETELY TWISTED MY WORDS TO FIT HIS AGENDA, WHICH WAS NOT GEARED TO HELP QUIET THINGS DOWN,BUT TO HELP HEAT THEM UP, WHEN I CONTACTED HIS SUPERIOR TO GET A CHANCE TO REBUT HIS STORY ON THE AIR I WAS TOLD TO FORGET IT. THEY PUT MY FAMILY IN DANGER. WHEN I NEXT RAN INTO HIM IN A RESTURANT AND WALKED OVER TO TALK TO HIM, HE RAN OUT LIKE THE COWARD HE IS. THAT WAS MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE SO CALLED MAJOR NEWS NETWORKS. |
| Posted By: BOB Posted On: Mar 28, 2012 Views: 1027 | torture AS A SCHOOL TRAINED AND COMBAT EXPERIENCED RETIRED POW INTERROGATER, I KNOW YOU CAN NOT RELY ON INFORMATION GAINED THREW TORTURE. I TAUGHT THE ART OF INTERROGATION AT USAICS FOR CLOSE TO FIVE YEARS AND WE DID NOT TEACH TORTURE. WATER BOARDING IS NOT TORTURE. I HAD IT DONE TO ME DURING TRAININGTO BECOME AN INTERROGATER, AND AGAIN DURING TRAINING, AT AN ESCAPE AND EVASION SCHOOL. I WAS NCOIC OF AN CORPS INTERROGATION CENTER IN VIET NAM AND IF I HAD EVER CAUGHT ANY ON PEOPLE THERE TORTURING A POW I WOULD BROUGHT CHARGES AGAINST THEM, WE SHARED THE CENTERS WITH THE SOUTH VIETNAMES AND EVEN THEY KNEW WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF I CAUGHT THEN USING TORTURE, |

| Posted By: Steve Posted On: Nov 30, 2009 Views: 883 | Response I agree with the last note, FOX is the only news source that actually interviews both sides and attempts to let the viewer make the decision on facts from both sides. However MSNBC, CNN, CBS, ABC,NBC and all of the networks that I grew up watching appear to be no more than an liberal opinion machine. Just look at all of the night time reality garbage and programs on these channels. I do not agree with all things stated by O'reilly or Limbaugh or anyone for that matter but at least they allow me to make the decision. If torture will help get info that will keep this country safe and my family safe then ABSOLUTELY USE IT. |
| Posted By: dxb independent Posted On: Sep 27, 2009 Views: 1529 | Watching from abroad As an American watching the events unfold from abroad I have to tell you that the FOX news correspondents are considered the most fair and balanced. The next most popular is the BBC. CNN and the American bigs CBS, ABC, NBC are competeing for last place. Funny thing is when I look at the viewership for the aforementioned networks FOX is and has been on top for years. I wonder why that is? Is there a "vast right wing conspiracy" worldwide? Have I missed something? |
| Posted By: Bill Posted On: Sep 9, 2009 Views: 1705 | Torture by president Saw the prez's speech tonight. Nancy was looking like her facelift was melting tonight. Where was the jumpin'jack flash she had at the other speech. Was torture involved? Seems like it since she had her "hate Bush" face on tonight during Barry's lecture. Perhaps she's been sniffing the astroturf and got a headache. Hopefully, Obamacare will get her some end-of-career conseling ;-) Well, enough about Pelosi. What has happened to the anti-war movement? We had more troops get killed this past August than any other period in the past eight years. This is nuts, I hoped that the promise of bringing them home day one was true...I bet you did too, just damn. I feel like CNN has pulled the wool over our eyes, ****ed on us and explained that rain was in the forcast. Oh well, so much for CHANGE (NOT). Let's HOPE we can do better next time. Thank you CNN et al for stopping Hillary (sarcasim). You screwed up! |
| Posted By: Corey Yilmaz Posted On: Jun 8, 2009 Views: 2062 | Cognitive Distortions= Hannity I agree with your comment Oreilly is not so cognitively distorted that he cant possibly see the other side but he makes multiple cognitive errors when thinking and uses labelling and name calling to rationalize his beliefs Olberman is just, perhaps less cognitively distorted than Oreilly Fox News however is no where nead Fair and Balanced. Oreilly is liberal on fox news! MSNBC is liberal and Fox is conservative. If you want unbaised news, watch CNN, thats the closetst youll get to it.. Everything is a balance and you made some errors too-- BTW- watewr boarding is torture and none of you could do it for more than 10 seconds. It doesnt look like torture and thats why people think it isnt.... The bug example is a joke, no one ever thought that was torture.. and givign good food is part of normal interrogation techniques...the problem with making torture legal is it carries over to other parts of the military and taints our reputation, however if Bin Laden was caught or #2, you think Obama wouldnt torture them if eh thought something was imminent or there was no progress in interrogation, I doubt it. There's a basic assumption here which may be false- that torture leads to better results than a skilled interrogator. I dont believe that unless its been studied and case reports frmo Cheney dont count... |
| Posted By: CEA Posted On: Apr 30, 2009 Views: 2441 | Polling question. For you to assume the tactics used were torture is exactly as suggestive as OReilly using the words harsh interrogation tactics. I have not heard an honest debate about whether or not putting a harmless bug in a box with a guy who is afraid of bugs is torture or harsh interrogation. People have bypassed the discussion about whether or not these tactics are torture. Where would you draw the line webmaster, would you say all 20 tactics are torture? Or everything is okay except waterboarding? Would you allow feeding someone bland food and rewarding them with tastier food for information during interrogation or is that also torture? We need a public debate about what we would tolerate. I cannot agree that putting caterpillars in a box with someone who is afraid of bugs is equivalent to bamboo shoots under someone's fingernails. |
| Posted By: Nate Posted On: Apr 28, 2009 Views: 1757 | This web site This web site has the appearance of being credible. That's about it. Anyone who actually watches O'Reilly knows much of what you say about him is rediculous. Many of your outlandish comments go without any citation of your sources For example: I say suck on it O'Reilly, you are a far right idiot who is out of touch with mainstream America. Do you know that in a recent poll only 21% of the people claim to be Republicans. What poll? Maybe I missed it. Either way this site is usually boring and caters to people who are incapable of admitting that they are wrong. At least that's the idea I get when I read your articles. There are two sides to every story. I don't always agree with Bill O'Reilly but I can certainly tell he has done his research and put some thought into what he thinks is right or wrong. Your constant bad mouthing and name calling is the root of many of the problems in the world today. There is usually a better way to overcome obstacles. I respect your opinion but not your maturity. |
