A child who does well on the GSAT, should in no way be cheated out of the very best (top high school). I would be very disappointed in the system if such a decision is made. No child should become 'first aid' for schools not at the top of the list. This can prove to be detrimental for that child, as the quality of teaching may no be up to par not to mention the facility itself.

GSAT

I agree with Shauna, dont waste my child 's time putting him with slow leaners. Both the child and the parents worked hard to ensure that their child make the best possible placement and the fact is that not every home is as disciplined. Why should my child have to mix after all his hard work. I agree that maybe GSAT should not be used the determine placed, but I strongly beleive that Placement should be made based on grades.

GSAT Top Performers

Everybody knows that there are dunce schools and bright schools in Jamaica, I believe if a child works hard to get a good score in their exam this means they wants to go to a bright school, why on earth would you work so hard to go to a dunce school? Nothing is wrong with classifying schools. Don't waste children time by putting them with slow learners. Keep GSAT going but I think they need to change this dumb aspect of slowing down individuals.

students need to be placed in the school of their choice. if u work hard to live ur dream of being in a big house in a very nice or upper class area who have the right to tell u that is not possible. therefore u have to go a live in the innercity. or u cant build such a big house. i hope u see where i am going.
