Lightening bolt

Really? Lightening Bolt is reduced to "other"?

vitalogy

Vitalogy. Dark. Mysterious, like No Code, just not "mystic". Punky. Adventurous but not over the top. Again, so marvelously bleak and paranoid. Perfect.

Yield

As reflected in the stats above , Pearl Jam are nothing if not consistent. In my humble opinion, Yield is their most rounded and best record to date. It was their 5th album and it`s pure genius.

TEN

While I rarely listen to Pearl Jam anymore, and I would never have said there were my absolute favorite, I don't think I will ever change my mind that Ten is the best first album from a band ever. It's not that I dislike future work, but nothing could live up to where they started. Ten is perfect.

Best Album: Pearl Jam

I'll be the odd one. I like every cd except for the self-titled, and even it has some redeeming qualities. However, my favorite is "Riot Act" followed closely by "Binaural." "Riot Act" in my opinion was a bit moody and a bit laid back which appealed to me. It also featured some of their most creative moments.

best album

I voted for Yield and I've said it's their best album since I heard it the day it came out. Rockin'!!

Yield

Personally, I voted for Yield. My list would go in this order.

1. Yield
2. Vitalogy
3. Vs.
4. Ten
5. Binaural
6. No Code
7. Pearl Jam
8. Riot Act

The funny thing is is that even Riot Act and S/T are better than most bands best albums. I honestly don't listen to Ten that much, it's top heavy and depressing. No Code is the hidden gem of the Pearl Jam catalog. It gets a little weird at the end, but what true Pearl Jam fan doesn't love Present Tense. Seriously, Smile is easily in my top 10 favorite PJ songs. I'll be the first to admit I get really annoyed when people say Ten is their favorite album.

@Ryan

OK Ryan, for the first time: I'm a REAL fan and TEN is my favorite album...

Vs

Vs was definitely the best from start to finish. I can also understand Yield and Vitalogy- but if you say Ten you have to be a fairweather fan- I mean, a classic album - but I've never heard a real fan say it was their favorite.

PJ best album yet

I vote TEN(Remixed) as their best album because it has so much energy, Vedder's voice is powerfull and includes all their true hits. But i also enjoy RIOT ACT because is so different and it's so underrated for my opinion.

Ten by a hair

I voted for Ten, but Vitalogy was a close close second.
When I got robbed in England in 7th Grade, we lost a ton of stuff. But the only thing I was bummed about losing was my Ten tape, walkman and video camera included.
Vitalogy; that $hit was smokin' and it still speaks to me...

Best Album to Date

All PJ music is powerful but nothing compares to Ten and Yeild. The rest is solid rock but those 2 albums are epic. I'm hoping Backspacer gets back to the root of what makes PJ so great.
