It's all right to see her struggle with the temptation of crawling back into the bottle as long as she does NOT succumb. She is a strong woman with a caring support group around her. It is important for the viewers to see her succeed in working through her grief without alcohol. Viewers who want to see grief being worked out with alcohol can pop over the General Hospital and check out Lucky who is wallowing in self-pity and anger while imbibing.

The difficulties of managing things by herself, the fear of dating... maybe they could have her become an overeater to cope with the sadness.
